  1. THERE ARE FRACTURED SOCIETIES ALL OVER THE WORLD (INCLUDING THE U.S.) BUT THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO FIGHT FOR THEIR RIGHTS! MOST SOCIETIES SIMPLY CAVE TO THE DEMANDS OF THE GOVERNMENT! HONG KONGERS ARE FIGHTING FOR THEIR CIVIL RIGHTS FOR TODAY AND IN THE FUTURE!

  5. Ban protest will not curb the protesters. More will get hurt and perhaps when it continue escalating, police will not only fire warning shot but will shot at the protesters who go out of hand. Carrie Lam, you still did not heed the call, first and only first, withdraw the Extradition Bill for the start. Then call for a dialogue. You will save many policemen and youngsters from permanent injuries. Remember, you are personally responsible for the introducing of the Extradition Bill. It is from here, the protest escalated. Stop it while there are still time! If someone die from gunshot wounds, all hell will broke lose – their blood stains on your hands.

  13. Carrie Lam is doing a great job at a very difficult time. However, HK needs to be more forceful in putting an end to the riots and save HK. The true reason for the riots was never the Extradition bill but separation of HK from China. Suggest HK should move to:
    1. Ban all face covers immediately except with a doctor's letter.
    2. Immediately deport reporters from those foreign agencies with biased reporting like ABC, CBC, BBC etc and those who obstruct police
    3. Take RTHK to task for supporting rioters' cause
    4. Sack civil servants and health workers who participated or support riots.
    5. Empower citizens' arrest of rioters who obstruct roads, trains and airports.
    6. Identify and start investigating riot leaders and trace their sources of funding. Take action on funding parties and banks.

  14. When too many citizen go on riot or protest,then it is the government is time to think where it’s fault….it is clear the goverment has stray away from its citizen…

  16. If Hong Kong dont like China so much, then stop freaking buying from China. All those helmets, laser pointers, and every thing they are using are made in China.

    This type of hypocrisy is very evident in US and it has be propagated in Hong Kong. People are just lost in whats really True and False.

    People in Hong Kong will suffer even more if this continues. The backbone of Hong Kong will be crippled.

    International companies will start to leave because of instability, Hang Seng will crash, jobs will be lost, property prices will drop, money will be pulled out from Hong Kong and Hong Kong will become what it was in the very beginning.

  18. If she steps down, who can step up? A 15 yr old activist? Get real… being in that position is not so simple – it’s not arm chair politics. Look at her credentials – she born and breed in HK and spent most of her life serving HK. Not those pro democratic holding dual passports talk about independence.

So get off your stupid selfish big face ass and stop losing us money and putting us in danger of losing the status of Hong Kong. I don't know you but I hate you. What a crazy underhanded turn with the extradition bill. I worked in Taiwan legislature for too long and I see you.

  22. These young protesters have identified numerous issues, confused them with recent policies and unfortunately concluded that government is at fault. If you want to address the real problems, ask yourself what you and/or your family has done since 1970s, when the population in Hong Kong was already UN-sustainable. Overpopulation (should be <4M), greed (causing crazy real estate prices) and poor city planning (pollution everywhere) are causing you more pain than your government writing bad laws or policies to address social problems.
