iOS 14对iPhone未来的重大变化 [Wishlist]

去年的这个时候，我们发布了iOS 12上苹果历史上最大的性能和稳定性版本之一。它是如此的稳定和高性能，测试版比以前的某些发行版本感觉更好。

但是，iPhone XS尤其是iPad Pro这样的硬件明确表明，Apple需要增强功能并填补许多尚不完善的功能。

输入iOS 13及其分支iPadOS 13，它带来了大量的功能和这些功能。但这是以稳定性为代价的，导致Beta版要比某些内部版本差，并且发布的版本甚至还不是完全成熟的Beta版。

  4. Where I agree with the advancements I still find that there are features existing apps are missing and features that I have personally been waiting for since the iPad first came into my hands.
    1-IpadPro should be just that, a Pro. There should be Pro features you don’t get on a standard IPad . If you’re willing to spend $1799 on an device that’s listed as being the Pro edition then it needs Pro features and those customers should feel like their decision and investment was worth it. I am completely PC free, I use the IPadPro for all my computational needs, the device was marketed to me on the high end processor and the endless possibilities that could be performed, but besides the Apple Pencil I find there are few Pro features, for example, on the Verizon network one of the larger telcos the IPad has had its ability to send SMS messages in the messenger app to any non Apple users, you can’t even send a basic text to an android user and as this is my main device I need to be able to send a message to whoever I want and shouldn’t have to know who is or who isn’t an Apple customer. You don’t know whether a text will send until after the fact when you get a message failed to send error. In 2017 the feature worked perfectly, but now it is restricted. After numerous hours on hold talking to both Apple support and Verizon Support, where each party said the restriction was due to the other party, and after I let Apple support talk me into multiple reboots, full system restore, and finally taking it in to have it reset to factory settings, the problem still continued with Apple Support insisting there was something wrong with my device, after long talks with multiple agents at Verizon 1 rep was able to see on my line that there was an SMS block feature added that could not be removed at her level she sent me to the top tier technicians who said that they could not remove the restriction either and told me to try using a third party app to do my messages. Ridiculous. It took 4 days of being on hold and sent in to the geek squad only to be told to use a 3rd party app which had terrible reviews and in itself was buggy. For the time being if I want to send a text or a photo to someone or use the Animoji feature I have to use my iPhone, which is a hassle and not the Pro device it claimed to be.
    2- the Photos app, there has been little to no advancements in the photos app for quite some time, when you get a prompt from the Tips function it tells you that now Siri has the ability to find and display your photos for you, but if you ask her to do that and say find a picture of my 50th birthday or a photo of my mom, she says she can’t do that. The problem lies within the way photos are tagged by the app. Everything in every feature of photos is driven by the date tag in its metadata. So Siri can pull up a photo for you if you tell her the date. But who can remember all the dates of all their photos. This is my 6th iPad and my camera roll is extensive I download hundreds of photos from websites and do screenshots of all my online purchases and confirmation letters. Those photos I download from the web use their own metadata, it is labeled by the date the photo was created not the date I downloaded it. So in my years view I see photos spanning six decades. And my memories are brought in to me that show random photos by date including screenshots of purchases photos I’ve taken on that day and photos tagged with that date. This is a major flaw and a Pro version iPad should have the capability to edit the photos metadata and assign a specific name to it. So if I download a number of trees for reference shots I could easily put them all in an album called trees, but the individual photos could be named, spruce, pine, maple etc. and my vacation photos can be named by where they were not when they were and my moms pictures could be labeled me and mom, mom knitting my sweater, mom doing chemo, moms funeral etc. it’s not a ridiculous request to want to name your photos and Siri would be able to show you a picture by the name you gave it. It can be done by a third party app but even after assigning a name to a photo, Siri still only recognizes the date.
    3-Siri in general, and I think you touched on this but Siri could be little bit more like Alexa in how she responds to requests, if I as Siri a question, I want the answer not, here’s what I found on the web, I want her to read what she found and tell me what it says especially when I’m driving.
    Really if all they did was let me edit my photos metadata I would be happy I’ve been wanting this from day one.

  8. Siri needs to be smarter and should be able to handle follow up questions
    True Multitasking-interact with 2 different apps at same time
    Widgets- true widgets that can be put on different pages on home screen
    PICTURE AND PICTURE is a must

  10. Finally some features that makes sense, well thought about and Apple should consider taking a look for these features.

  11. I’ve wanted two extremely simple functions for years… Night Stand mode on the iPhone. I’ve wanted this since the Apple Watch came out. They have this ass backwards, I don’t wear my iPhone when I sleep, it’s on my night stand where an alarm clock would be… and give us back the option to rotate the home screen. Neither function can be that difficult to implement!

  12. Apple needs to just do everything in this video. I 100% approve. Especially if they do it for the X too which I doubt they will. Time for jail breaking again I guess.

  16. Apple has been saying the iPhone screen is too small for landscape / pip since the original iPhone. But the X and up are plenty big enough. I want 100% landscape even if I have to rotate for faceID.

  17. I’m still pissed they removed background audio for safari. Every time I’m streaming the news or something I have to stay in safari on that tab otherwise it stops even if you try to resume from control center.

  22. Apple software is not like that of android. This makes me miss my Huawei and Vivo phones. I could scan documents, multitask on those phones without using any 3rd party apps esp scanning. how come Apple cannot do these. I won't regret dropping my iPhone 11 pro for Huawei

  23. I want to run ? BiglyBT Software ? on my iOS so I stream and download podcasts and independent shows because some of favorite YouTubers content are being deplatformed so they are moving to torrent publishing. What’s old is new again. Also want more and better face and object recognition in photos app and notes app for scanned items and pictures.

  24. I need Siri to become usable and not take up the whole screen , along with phone calls (at least the option to choose). As well as multi-tasking (split screen) and give us older devices the ability to change video resolution and frame rates within the damn video application.

  32. Rene, I’m glad that you acknowledged Siri “regressions” so I didn’t have to feel like I was the only one. And it’s not on every device, Siri on my iPod touch works perfectly fine, whereas on my 10.5 inch iPad Pro it frequently doesn’t answer me. I remember when that was a thing before and Apple fixed it. But it has regressed to only acknowledging my hey Siri every two or three times. And even when it does answer it says it’s having trouble with the connection, even though the iPod touch, if plugged in and sitting right next to it will work.
    The next apple event, if Apple mentions changing her voice again I think I will scream.

    Siri on This device

    Since when u say Hey siri with multiple devices around, the iPhone ? is the one that generally responds.

    It would be nice to get a feature where u can ask siri to do somthing on a specific device.

    Eg. “hey siri”, the iPhone responds, n u say “play a song on the iPad”

    That would be dope

  37. I swear there are jailbreak tweaks for almost everything said in this and my samsung has almost everything said in this.
    I did have real iPad multitasking on my iPod touch 6th generation but that just killed the battery and performance.

  38. I have wanted since the iPhone 3GS (my first one) a feature where you can tap on a phone number in iCal (or any other proprietary app) and it immediately calls that number. Or if you enter someone's name in an iCal entry, that iOS immediately lets you choose from your contacts so that you can decide at the moment that you are calling someone which of his numbers you prefer.

  39. 128gb base model. Allow me to easily transfer any file type to my PC(I don't want Macbook) and true multi app multitasking and I probably would switch from Android. Each time I tried the iPhone I switched back to Android for these same reasons.

  40. I see that you suffer from the same twitching like so many other people making YouTube videos where their body suddenly snaps to a new position, it might have long term consequences for Your health and I think You should go see your doctor about it.

  42. I would really like the new iOS to be able to take live recordings and convert them into text like the latest Google Pixel. That would be a life changer! I don't know if Siri is advanced enough however…

  43. Most people don’t care about Facetime outside of the US.
    As for the mail app, don’t most people use the gmail app now?
    I agree for the multitasking and split screen. That would be a game changer.
