  2. She’s an idiot for thinking it’s ok to have custody in the first place right now with her job. Nothing wrong at all here. Good for the father

  3. The headline blows. This is NOT a woman "losing custody" of her child due to her being a doctor. It's about keeping a 4 year old girl SAFE with her already JOINT CUSTODY father. The mother is NOT a victim and any ego bruising over where the daughter lives MUST take a backseat to the medical safety of the child.

  24. It wouldn't have had to come to going to court. I personally would have said please we need to keep our child safe and it's safer for her to be with you. Would it be easy hell no but it would be the right thing to do. Many have moved completely out of their houses away from their families to keep them safe

  30. Average age of death by the virus is 79. And unless the child has underlying health issues, there should be no problem with shared custody. This will likely force her to look for a different job, making that hospital lose a doctor who was apparently smart enough to be trusted with covid patients, and make many people with children think twice about med school.

  40. Wow, didn't expect such vitriol in the comments on this. If this was indeed true and that was the sole reason for her losing custody then that judge clearly has overstepped his bounds. Are we separating all essential workers from their children now?
