Several points some of them related:
1. If I were in an apartment building with a wired connection (Ethernet) provided by the landlord, I'd use a VPN. It's as if I were using a public WiFi network in a coffee shop. Added: Not just an apartment building. Any rental situation, residential or commercial or while traveling.
2. I cannot play videos on Netflix, if I am using a VPN. Of course, I don't use Netflix while working.
3. I've tried several VPNs, all.of them subscription plans. I find, no matter what device I'm using, that the VPN connection can drop with no notice. I lose the protection. I think a "kill switch" should work to cause me to lose all connectivity if the VPN drops, but I don't have that high a requirement for security.
