  1. The US government wanted to ban TikTok in order to prevent espionage on American citizens and minors from the PRC. I know that everything else collects data from you, but it's different if the data that's being collected is from a totalitarian regime.

  2. Bro I dont use that shit but my brother does and I told him about this. So I just started saying random shit like monster trucks, Lamborghini ex. And all he watches is fortnite lmao, next thing you know monster trucks and everything I said popped up on his feed sooo idk man

  3. What's funny watching this is the fact that, while Charlie has said he does enjoy conspiracy theories, it's not like he seriously buys them.9 times out 10.

But watching this vid, he totally has the crazy conspiracy guy look going lol.

P.S. Your hair and beard are beautiful Charlie. Haha.

  4. its going to be hilarious when millions of people get their platform taken from them
because shaking your ass for 10 seconds should not be a valid way of earning money

  5. i always expect there to be some kind of at least bordering-on-intellectual conversation in the comments section, but no. the top comments continue to be a memefest

  6. If that were the case, pos Twitter, FB, & YouTube would already be gone. At the same time, they violate OUR 1st amendment & even censor OUR president pretty much every day! That should worry you Fr!

  7. rare take i disagree with. You asked where we draw the line? Well I personally draw it when it is a foreign country's government taking US citizen's data. Facebook may be collecting our data and trying to sell it, but the government is already on to them (which is why they summoned Zuckerberg and Google to a Congressional hearing).

  8. Just as a disclaimer. I don't use Tik Tok. I don't have any association with it. I don't even have an account nor do I want to get one.

As for this ban. I personally don't think it's a thing where they are worried about another country spying on us. We even have countries interfering in our election, supposedly our most sacred thing and we are basically just allowing it, even the senate said yeah that's happening.

The point is I don't think the government is worried about the act of something collecting data, the government has been going after China for some time so that had some push, but again I don't think it's completely that.

If you'll notice this app has been around for several years, which means it's been doing this thing for several years. Why act now? As far as I know the company itself hasn't done anything new. Maybe they did but I haven't heard it. This collecting a lot of information has been known for a while now.

The only thing I can figure and fits the time line is that one rally where Tik Tok users suddenly got him to assume he'd have a much larger crowd and it made him look really bad. I hate saying this about the President because this shouldn't be true, but this one is very vindictive so it doesn't surprise me at all if he felt slighted by that move and retaliated against Tik Tok for it and is just using this collecting data/security risk to try and justify his actions.

These two reasons I feel are bunk because if we really cared about those two reasons, we wouldn't be letting other countries affect our elections and we wouldn't be allowing US companies to collect data.

  9. Tiktok needs to die. Fully grown adults are using it and doing stupid, pathetic dances. Mostly pedos.

So glad you mentioned the pedo shit and normalising it Charlie. Thank you.
