  2. Surfshark VPN was putting Malware on my PC. They claim a 30 day trial but they give you no way to end that trial on the website. I had to get upset and make it absolutely clear that I wanted a refund and there was nothing they could do to change my mind, after multiple emails for them to issue the refund.

  7. I have IPVanish and it has worked good. I do hate the fact that Netflix doesn't allow me to use my VPN to stream their content! I think that it highly unfair. Hopefully, someone will come up with a way around it! Peace.

  10. Great vid.I do enjoy being part of the naughty club though for vpn uses.I gotta streaming itch i gotta scratch! Not waiting an extra 3-6 months for a show that may or maynot land in my region.

  11. One thing I have learnt is not to trust Youtubers when it comes to advising people on VPNs. They make the worst suggestions. Not only was NordVPN hacked, they kept quiet about it. IpVanish has been known to not be able to connect to the BBC, the connection to which is a must for millions of people around the Globe

  14. I had one a few years ago but I kept forgetting to turn it back on after visiting paysites like Hulu or Netfix. I decided it was a waste of money since I'd often go for days at a time with it turned off.

  17. From a Streaming Services perspective, NOT security, you missed the biggest reason not to use VPNs. Geo-restrictions. Today, all devices, operating systems, and applications want to know your physical location when using them. Streaming services are starting to use your devices physical location and not your IPs location to determine where you are. YouTubeTV, Hulu, ESPN, HBO, etc. are all starting to require you set the app to "Use Your Location" or you cannot access the service. VPNs do not mask your geo location.

    For Apple devices, you cannot 'spoof' your geo-location. If you jailbrake the Apple device, that information is passed to the streaming provider and they can block streaming to jailbroken devices. For Android devices, you can 'spoof' your geo-location, but now some streaming providers require you to be in the same zip code as your billing address. So when you 'spoof' on Android, it has to look like your billing address – meaning you still can't watch the Knicks.

    You may want to update the video to reflect this. It is the primary reason I got rid of my monthly VPN subscription and use a home VPN when on public wifi or just use a hotspot on my phone as I have unlimited data services.

  19. Free VPNs aren't a source of malware. They offer limited service in the hopes that users will buy their subscription plans. They can be very limited however and may not work as desired. Also, the more popular and better known a VPN is, the more likely it is to be blocked.

  20. pure vpn is vert good i've used for nearly 3 years had a problem a few months ago while using on my iphone but they have got around that used tunnel bear before but it was always getting blocked don't know if they have improved now so i cant run them down

  26. You are right. My fire stick for example, recognize when I am using a VPN abroad. My YouTube account was blocked because of the use of VPN in different places in short time frame. However, at the same time, VPN allow me to assess websites from the USA that I cannot while traveling.

  27. I'm really surprised that you didn't address one of the main reasons for using a VPN – privacy. Most VPN users don't want their ISP or Google or whoever logging everything they do and everywhere they go. I don't do anything iffy, I just believe that my business is MY business, and my information should not be the basis for their business.

  31. The vpn I use is the AMPLIFI HD plus the AMPLIFI teleport. The teleport is a physical device but acts like a vpn. I can access my home network no problem. I use this for accessing my Charter Spectrum tv service thru the tvOS app or thru my TiVo mini vox. I can watch all my tv shows without any blackouts.

  32. I』m in the ?? so my vpn for Netflix USA and I been using it for 3 years and had no problem connecting ever – some work better than others though

  33. I have used vpns because I live in Puerto Rico. And Puerto Rico is not a foreign country as many American believes ia a US territory or possesion, something like a Protectorate, though we don't have a state status. But the telecommunications belongs to and is rule by federal agencies like the FCC for example ,USA decides which Tv and Radio stations broadcast or not And finally USA decide what Puerto Rico could watch or hear from radio and what not. Many american tv companies are not aware or ignore that , they do not know that unbelievably they considered and treat us as foreign country market, they blocked their signal or multimedia to Puerto Rico.
