Huuuge fan . I have used a lot of your tutorials for DD-WRT . However have shifted to openwrt . Reason being that DDWRT couldn』t explain the drop of speed I faced . Even the main build maker 「Kong」 has shifted to openwrt development . The main reason for this post is they openwrt is a true challenge to configure for medium users . Plus there are no tutorials of any worth on openwrt on youtube . Most of the available ones are not very explanatory. I would appreciate if you can look into this request . Thanks

Hello Richard. Your video has inspired me to try the setup on an old TP-LINK router that I will flash to DD-WRT. Just one question. At the 23:41 point the IP of the WAN is given as 10.10.1.2, and the Gateway as 10.10.1.1. If I understood the video correctly, should this not have been 192.169.0.211 and 192.168.0.1 respectively? I saw that we do get these numbers when we disconnect from L2TP. Are the 10.10 numbers the result of some DD-WRT sleight-of-hand to do with L2TP? This is the only part of the video that was not clear to me.

HI, after failing to connect with two Open VPN tutorials, your video was the only one that helped me set up my isolated WAN network so thanks a lot!! I can make a separate WAN using your method with L2TP but with OpenVPN config from my VPN provider this doesn't work. I can only ADD the VPN router to my ISP's network (which shows my mac addresses to the ISP). any idea of how to configure DD-WRT so the WAN method works?
Are all the other routers you listed in the description the same processes?

Thank you for making this video, but my DD-WRT setup screen is different. Everything is the same until you get down to the "use DHCP", after the username and password it asks about "require CHAP", "refuse PAP", "require Authentication", "connection strategy". The it has a section of "Optional settings", then the next section is "network setup" in which is asks for router IP settings "local ip address", "subnet mask", "gateway", "local DNS". The following sections is titles "Network Address Server Settings (DHCP)" in which you can select to disable the DHCP. I don't have anywhere to enter a WAN IP address. If I change the Local IP address to place a WAN IP address in there is changes the address of the router and the way I can connect to it, if that makes sense. Could it be the version of the DD-WRT? Mine is from 2013 for this router. Thanks in advance!!!
