The US is desperate to stave off the inevitable – the FACT that China will DEFINITELY become the global economic superpower in a few years. US investors have already begun divesting the US to invest in Chinese technological infrastructure to ensure it happens too as rich banksters have NO LOYALTY when it comes to making money and they move along once you've been debt loaded to ensure a constant return.
China has not even had to fire a bullet or a missile, they've just smiled and nodded passively as the US tried to contain them yet China still moves forwards and also owns a significant amount of US debt which will be the 'testicle twist' if the US government carries on with its stupid trade war.
I don't see any winner other than China, where upon the realisation of that, the US will be on its knees begging for partnerships and deals. They'll get those deals but China will give better deals to its allies in Asia and Russia – more trustworthy allies.
The thing that is most glaring for the US is that China is already BEATING the US with its own favoured weapon – capitalism. And as a westerner (English) sickened by imperialism of all kinds, even British imperialism, I'm glad the US is whining in the face of defeat!
China should have never been let into the WTO without A LOT OF STIPULATIONS.
