  2. Trump was the only president after all these years to stand up to China coodos to you president trump I would really like you president trump to help the homeless in our country and you have my vote you have done a good job help our country first your the only one to do it ? Like in poker go all in there is a hell of a lot of fixing to do it takes time you have a lot on your plate good luck??????????????

  3. So the US invades countries, instigates coups, funds terrorists, economically blackmails countries, conducts global misinformation and propaganda campaigns, conducts global espionage on an unprecedent scale but China is supposed to be the "bad guy" that the US wants the world to gang up on. Yeah, aint gonna happen. The US should fight its own wars (and be held accountable for a change).

  4. China rise is inevitable. They are just returning to their former glory once they have put their house in place. China doesn』t push their ideologies by threats and wars unless provoked, they will respond in measured ways. China today is much different from 40 years ago. Trump is outdated in his perspective. US will be the eventual loser in the trade war because US is not addressing the fundamental issues of its own decline. That of spending beyond its means, dilapidated infrastructures, divided citizens, falling morals, lack of respect for others, distorted media agendas, the long list requires considerable self reflection and work to address. Not all problems can be solved by blaming others. In the last 40 years, China had made impressive progress, look at their cities, broadband speeds, vision for 2030, 2050. US is on its way to join Britain as a declined empire if it is still blind to its own short comings. The solution to the problem is not a trade war with China. It is a simple mirror.

  5. WTO has completely abandoned the issue that China's government money poured into Chinese companies. Using its large market, near fixed currency rate and the government money, China acts as a gangster and every nation has cowardly let it go. WTO is dead. Using those money, China also buy tech companies, buy tech experts, build military and threaten regions. US must recover the world rule.

  6. Apparently they're looking at implementing a floating tariff pegged to the Yuan, so no matter how their currency is manipulated, the tariff auto adjusts, based on an economic formula so they gain absolutely nothing in terms of trade advantage, by currency manipulation. It's a no win for them. As a result, the US is in a stronger position than ever.

  7. What a mess! Very interesting to experience this in the modern era. Partial deal is a must for Trump. Long term, China will never trust him again. Second term unlikely if things go sour but US economy seems pretty robust.

  8. WRONG! Trump will bankrupt America just as he has gone through SIX bankruptcies. Look at the Fed. Deficit! The U.S. will NOT get the concessions it wants from China by using Tariffs and going it alone. The best policy is to form an alliance with groups of countries that have the SAME grievances as the U.S. with China. Namely the EU, Canada, Japan, S.Korea and together let China know their policies will have group consequences. Trump may get some minor concessions from China BUT not the structural economic changes he wants.
