Good video. Every simulation that I did on the client side said just put in the private IP address of the VPN Server. I always wondered how does the client actually get to the VPN server if all I configured was a private IP address. Then you showed where you enter the public IP address of the VPN server. I've looked long and hard for this info and this is the first of anything that I saw that explains that.
I know this is an old video, but this explained everything in so much more detail than I have been able to find thus far. Great video. Thanks for the tips.

it doesn't work for windows 10 home version. i tried and i couldn't even open the port 1723
very clearly stated. Does this allow sharing the screen or just the files? How would this be different than setting up an FTP server instead?

hey man this is a great guide. but ive ran into an issue. i set up everything correctly and some extra's making sure the outbound pptp ports on my client computer are not being blocked by the router by forwarding a few ports. the problem is when i connected and log in i get this: The network connection between your computer and the VPN server was interrupted.
