1. I wonder how many of those non-DMCA-compliant countries also have some security researchers working there. Especially with how the DMCA exemptions can changed every few years.

2. There's definitely no gain in privacy if you set up a VPN on your own server. All nodes involved in your connection can still be traced back to you. So where's the point?

3. I mean there's Windscribe if you're looking for a commercial option, otherwise you would probably want to use Tor or I2P.

9. Reason I finally bought a Raspberry PI few months ago was because of the PiHole video. Mine sucks cause it was a kano kit (got for like 95% off) which doesn't have an Ethernet port. but haven't had to many slow downs being on wifi only

12. This doesn't help me with getting a VPN on my phone though, which I often use on hotspots and other networks which are not mine. Unless I want to code an entire app for iOS only for myself it's probably not really possible.

    Untar the profile.tar file
    Use the profile.ovpn with your openvpn.net client

    They're both a bunch of ansible scripts that will spin up a server for you in whichever supported provider, configure the VPN correctly and dump out the credentials for you. Really makes it easy to get up and running.

28. OpenVPN though, so you'll need a software to use it, so no support of Android, iOS, Windows built-in VPN capabilities
