J.Wills – I called Google they told me that People who are a part of #TeamPixel and received there Pixel 4 or 4 XL won't get priority security patch updates First unless the consumer bought there Pixel 4 or 4 XL from Google them self but Google did say that people who received a pixel 4 or 4 XL from #TeamPixel will get security patch updates for 3 years and OS Updates for 2 years first when Google release them any carrier that sales the pixel 4 or 4 XL when Google releases a OS update or security patch updatento a carrier its up to them when they wanna release it to the customer
A drawback from Android is that the kernel is one generation behind from the mainstream Linux distributions. Also does unlocking the bootloader ban one from receiving regular OTA updates?
I have an AndroidOne Xiaomi Mi a2 and I get my updates every month, albeiet about the 20th-21st of the month. Gotta love pure Android 10.
