  2. I'm thinking 1917 for best picture if only because it's made for the cinema? It's faults are obvious but for all of those ( perhaps the most damning is how derivative it is stylistically to Skyfall even down to the musical quotes ) it celebrates the everyman as hero And it's a race to stop a battle which as a war film is a relief.

  3. There is so many good movies this past year, it is hard to be upset by anyone who wins(except for Star Wars Rise of Skywalker. Horrible movie).

  4. I think it's difficult for 1917 to win Picture without Mendes winning… Coz usually Director or Screenplay has to connect with Picture? And I do think Mendes is a lock

  7. If I may.. I believe that the awards won in other award shows, leading to the Oscars, don』t affect who will win at the Oscars. In fact, I believe every year all the award shows choose their winners based off of who they think the Oscar winners will be. Among other things. But I would never predict the Oscars based off of other Award shows. No other award show had The Shape of Water winning their most prestigious award. And although usually the award shows can be close, I believe the Oscars move to the beat of their own drum. As far as award shows go. The politics play a big role. Just like all award shows. But the Academy is the big boy. That』s why I said Jojo Rabbit or The Irishman would win best picture. The Academy can pick a 「Shape of Water」, and instantly make every other award show look wrong.

  8. I also agree Little Women will win Costume Design. BAFTA is pretty accurate with this category and yes it's probably the only Oscar Little Women can win…
    Wish Greta could get adapted screenplay but it's looking unlikely after WGA and BAFTA

  9. Parasite won ACE Eddie Drama, which BoRhap won last year before going onto the Oscar. But I'm predicting Ford v Ferrari for Film Editing because that is the "most edited" movie
