  7. Having seen the previews for Parasite, it looks boring and also looks like it was made by film students in college, nowhere near the quality of a movie like 1917. Nobody's going to watch this movie with subtitles and last year Parasite would not even qualify for best picture because it's a foreign language movie. Haven't you all notice that liberal Hollywood got rid of Best Foreign Language Movie category so this movie can win this year so that Spike Lee can jump for joy that white men did not win best picture. The Oscars is no longer an American event They can now broadcast the Oscar event next year from South Korea and Spike Lee would love that because he doesn't want white men to win best picture, because he is a racist against white men.

  18. All thanks to BTS. BTS makes American public be more interested in Korean entertainment. BTS is nominated for Grammy, then American people must choose a Korean movie for Oscar. Who care about its qualilty LOL. It's about time!

    Even that director Bong Joon-ho said he admired and was inspired by BTS, the greatest Korean artist of all time. Fact only!

  24. Parasite was ?????. Most folks hate reading but if you don't mind subtitles you will discover a whole new genre that rivals Hollywood.

For the first time in the history of the Motion Picture Academy Awards, a foreign language film, 『Parasite』, has won the best picture award, as director Bong Joon-ho, noted he was proud to have been the first recipient to have won his Oscar after the category name change from 「best foreign language film」 to 「best international feature film」. One would have thought that since America』s population, consisting of such a wide range of diversity in international ethnics, the category name change would have taken place years ago, but as far as I can tell, Americans seems to be the most closed minded when it comes to learning and using international names. Witness, when I was in basic Army training as draftee most of us from the New York City area, drill Sargent』s would refer to a soldier with long-lettered names as 『alphabet』, even well on toward the end of the eight week training course, would fail to change, even after each morning during roll call, would not even bother, and seemed annoyed to have to learn the correct pronunciation of their names.
