T-Mobile的新5G網路值得升級嗎?

我們嘗試了T-Mobile的新型低頻段5G網路,儘管它朝著正確的方向邁出了一步,但不要指望4G LTE會帶來巨大的飛躍。

  1. 5g isn't a speed, its a cellular network standard which means how your phone baseband processor and your providers base transceiver station communicate with each other. People due to the power of marketing believe 5g means some kind of speed it does, the gigibit speeds that are being advertised by providers is actually the Ka bands 26.5–40 GHz
Which is extremely wide but range lessons

  2. T-Mobile bought the entire Sprint network last year, so no matter what, it's a win win for T-Mobile because T-Mobile is bringing Sprint back from the grave.

  3. 5g is more money then 4 g and the cell phones they have are a lot of money to buy most area do not have 5g l was told in my area its not full 5g yet

  4. T mobile is deploying 5G in the 600 MHz range which (even with aggregation) cannot exceed 150 Mbps roughly from what I saw. So basically there is 4G speeds I've seen faster than that. It's just a sales point. That speed is because the lack of spectrum in 600 ranges. On other hand VZ is deploying at extremely high frequency where the bandwidth is enormous allowing for incredible speeds of avg 1.5 Gbps. We are deploying at outdoor venues, malls, popular shopping locations, airports, stadiums. The signal at such a high Frequency doesn't travel far at all but indoors and localized it's great. VZ is working to deploy 5G in a lower range for the "macro" coverages to allow for more similar range to the band 13 4G. Along with CBRS and LAA for aggregation our 4G can outperform T Mobile's 5G. So it is hard to see where the future takes us. But as it stands now in respect to T Mobile's "5G", this is merely 4G with another name as the throughput speeds are no better than what ATT or VZ currently has on 4G when used with carrier aggregation.

  5. You can't compare different phones in my point of view and now my question is how far is the 5g nearest antennas? Maybe a different app to test waves…

  6. I have a tmobile coolsurf wifi hotspot, worked great when I got it. When they annouced 5g the signal and speed turned to crap. Everybody in my area complaining. Contacted STORE and they said call 611. They didn't seem to care, so I'm off to xfinity, SORRY!

  7. I have tmobile and I've used ookla for my speedtest, and tmobile is just slightly faster than 4G. I've heard that Verizon's 5G is much faster. I guess I'll have to wait till they work out the kinks. Keep in mind that most companies have only recently been able to give us true 4G.
