  2. Some of the best console games ever produced, were for PS 1 and PS 2. The only reason I would buy a PS 5, would be that kind of compatability. I want to play again all those games again: Xenosaga 1-3, Legend of Mana, Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia, Breath of Fire 3+4, the Suikoden games, the Final Fantasy games, Persona 3+4, Ar Tonellico 1+2, Atelier Iris 1-3 and many many others. I would need to save up a bit, but I would pay 700-800 €/USD for a PS 5 that has backward compatibility all the way down to PSOne games.

  4. Hopefully not just being Backwards Compatible with PS1-PS4 Game Discs but also be Region Free and play Japanese and PAL PS1-PS4 Games and also bring back the ability to play an Audio CD too big mistake they made taking it away from PS4

  32. So will it only be compatible for straight up PlayStation video games or will it be compatible for all kinds of video games known too men? Because if it truly the latter than I will have tons of fun buying old Tekken, Soul Calibur, and Persona games.

  33. I'm excited about the gaming possibilities, but a little apprehensive when it comes to overheating. I have a feeling it might be similar to the old phat ps3. A huge leap in tech with the sacrifice of quality components and cheap thermal paste along with poorly placed vents. I hope that's not the case.

  40. I own every PlayStation console except 4, because the Pro didn't go far enough and never pleased me but if 5 is going to be as good as it sounds with all this reverse compatibility to then I'm getting it no questions asked

  44. All i need is backwards compatibility for ps4. theres so many games coming out this year for ps4, and i dont wanna just buy a new system when im not done with my ps4 games.

  47. If this is true for definite, I'll HALF consider defecting to Sony for my next gen console buying. However, MS would be foolish not to do the same thing for the next Xbox, FULL backward compatibility to EVERYTHING including Kinect stuff IMO.

  48. Backward Compatibility guaranteed, or just promised? Soyny is a lying pile of sh*t as has been proven from their censored games and the imposing they do upon Japan. Buy a console, play older games, and we may consider buying the PS5. Backward Compatibility has been dangled before and has been just a hollow promise. Prove it first.
