In the past 10 years Best Visual Effects most of the times has gone to the movie with a Best Picture nomination or a movie with multiple nominations. Examples: Avatar, Inception, Hugo, Life of Pi, Gravity, Interstellar, Blade Runner 2049, First Man. The only exceptions are Ex Machina which had very subtle visual effects and Jungle Book which did something extraordinary. No MCU movie has won this award.

Based on this I think it will either go to 1917 or The Irishman. If not then 3rd best probability is The Lion King. Avengers Endgame is my personal pick but I will be shocked if it happened. I have it in 4th place in my predictions.
