  2. Axiom verge is an awesome game and second only to breath of the wild imo. The games creator Thomas Happ did most of the game himself. Also glad to hear axiom verge 2 is scheduled for a late fall release 2020 ?

  9. You got to be kidding me. Owlboy is the most mediocre indie game out there. The controls are awkward and the gameplay is nothing more than pick up an object to destroy a obstacle in your way, or shoot something. And then to imagine it took 10 years to make so little. Also, it's not an open world game, there is a central hub from which you enter linear levels. This makes me believe you haven't even played the game.

  24. I love Tetris 99, but how on Earth is it an indie game? The Tetris Company is a juggernaut, even they only have one product. Plus, Tetris 99 sure seems to be a 2nd party game with all the Nintendo tie-ins for the weekend competitions.

  31. Man, everytime I think "wow, this looks like crap," your response is "this game is beautiful to look at."

    Meanwhile, Blasphemous, BattleChasers Nightware and several others were noticeably absent. To each their own.

    Is guacameele indie? If so, add It to the list.
    To be honest, 2, 3, 4 and 5 were very difficult to rank.

  44. Rain World should have been on the list. It has some of the best pixel art I have ever seen in a game and physics based animations which makes every action from the player and movement of the AI unique. Every living creature within the world has their own agency and are just trying to survive like the player, making the world feel like a real living ecosystem. Rain World also has a deep lore and a emotional story. Honestly I can't praise this game enough, if you haven't played it then you have to give it a try.
