11. Ive been seeing a lot of complaining about not enough poc or female directors … sorry these amazing actors happen to be white. And female directors never seem to be original they just feminize male movie. ? this isn』t about color.

20. It's been about the same time this year or last year that Peter Busch promise the public that he would announce the winner to go to such a concert do you think I got it not nope negative it's down here Southwest Florida Fort Myers Lee County I still want my trip to Greenland

21. The academy is clearly the "old boys club". Why no nominations for Taron Egerton for "Rocketman"? Why no nominations
    for "Downton Abbey" or for Maggie Smith for Best Supporting Actress? How about Best Costume Design? Why were no women directors nominated?
    Time to wake up academy members!

29. So the best people are nominated for their work, yes? Does this specify that there needs to be a number of black and a number of female? No. It doesn't. Just the ones who did the best job. So if someone didn't make the cut, it's because someone was better. Not because they were male and not because they were white. FFS have a word with yourselves!!!!

30. This year looks pretty good actually. I am however surprised that neither DeNiro or Akwafina got a nomination. I am a bit disappointed with not seeing more of The Lighthouse; best picture or actor nominations.
    A bit disappointed that Taron Egerton didn't get nominated.
    And then there is some more. But I know that not everyone can be nominated and I am quite pleased with these.
    I am also interested in the foreign films. I thought The Farewell and Portrait of a lady on fire would be up there, but I now have two movies that I never have heard of that I'll have to watch; Corpus Christi and Honeyland, exciting!
    Well, don't know why I wrote all of this, guess I am a bit excited?

34. Sorry to see The Farewell shut out completely. It was a really genuine and heartfelt original film that deserved at least an original screenplay, best director for Lulu Wang or at the very least a best actress nom for Awkwafina. She won the Golden Globe and she couldn』t even get a nomination today. What a shame.

36. Only 1 nomination for Avengers Endgame?! Say what you will about Marvel but as that Movie was one of the greatest of all times and the Box Score Numbers speak for themselves. The hatred towards 「Superhero Movies」 is ridiculous and these people who vote for the golden globes and oscars are straight haters.
