iPhone X Campout

剛剛在費城Apple Store(https://twitter.com/gruber/status/926218142535307265)上拍攝了夜間露營路線的照片後,其中一名青少年注意到我正在用iPhone X拍照。有問題。所以我採訪了他們。 。

  1. John, this is great. It feels like a real life connection. Do more of those. Great kids by the way, they only thing it's somewhat surprising they did not know about you.

  2. Nice group of folks waiting for the phone. I hope they all got theirs. I waited in line 3 times, but this year, I went to T-Mobile on the first day and got an iPhone 8 without a wait. Maybe I'm the real old guy? haha.

  3. Hey Gruber, good to see there were real fans/customers at the front of the line in Philly. The first 10 in line at my local store (Upper East Side Manhattan) were there to either re-sell the phones overseas, or sell their space in line for $100 (and some even just sold a chance to get in front of them). We arrived at 4:20am today, and the guy next to me bought one of these spots in line. I stayed put, and we both got our phones, albeit nearly 2.5 hrs apart.

  4. I stood in line for the original iPhone because that was the only way to get it. Back then they were only available at AT&T stores, and you had to go through a whole drawn-out process to buy one, so it took forever! And I ended up having to get a 4GB model because they ran out of the 8GB ones. It was kind of fun in a way, but I would much rather just have UPS bring me a phone.
