Jojo rabbits and Portrait of a lady on fire is overrated

Bombshell wasn't directed by Adam McKay. It was directed by Jay Roach, who directed Trumbo with Bryan Cranston as well as political TV movies for HBO like Recount and Game Change. Plus, he also directed comedies like Meet The Parents.
Each country can only submit one film for International Film, and France chose to submit Les Miserables instead of Portrait Of A Lady On Fire.
Can they get rid of the word 「hairstyling」 out of the Oscars please
parasite
Adam Sandler? Jennifer Lopez? Awkwafina? Nicole Kidman? Willem Dafoe? The Oscars became a joke. 2 nominations for mediocre at best Scarlett Johansson? lol
Parasite is available to stream tomorrow
Joker was amazing and im glad its getting so much recognition, but somehow, it doesnt feel right for me that it has this many noms when there were other movies that could've taken those spots. Im mostly confused. Happy yet bothered by it.
I feel like Taika Waititi got snubbed for directing
The Oscar nominations are just so supremely boring and lifeless. No women directors, no Adam Sandler (???), no Uncut Gems at all, no Knives Out in Best Picture, a huge bias against A24, and finally…..
Joker got 11 (!?!?) nominations. What are we even doing here? This sucks.
I'm disappointed that The Lighthouse didn't get many nominations, but so happy Frozen 2 and Lion King didn't get a best animated picture nomination.
There are 10 slots in the best picture category since 2010, but they never fill all of them.
'Ad Astra' did not make the shortlist for Best Visual Effects a month ago, so it is no surprise it did not get nominated today. 'Portrait of a Lady on Fire' also did not get in because only one movie per country can get submitted for Best International Feature Film, which is why 'Les Misérables' got nominated as it was the official submission for the category from France.
Let』s go 1917
A lot of people like Amy Pascal.
11 noms for Joker? That's so dumb
Portrait of a Lady on Fire wasn't eligible for international film because the country has to choose one movie to submit. France stupidly chose Les Miserables.
It's up to 10 nominees for Best Picture
Where's the Endgame love? Other than Jojo Rabbit, Marriage Story, maybe Parasite, & Joker, the winners seem like the stereotypical Oscar bait. If Black Panther can get 7 nods & 3 wins, shouldn't Endgame at least get more than just a VFX nod? Joker is nominated for Adapted Screenplay while not being based on any other Joker "origin." Rise of Skywalker has more nods than Endgame. I like that movie, but WHY?! All of this is just disappointing.
