MrMario2011 i have a PS3 that YLOD on me, so i purchased another ps3 phat model CECHH01 with official 4.81 on it and MinVerChk returned 1.97, i want to move the ylod hard drive to the new machine because i already have all my games and homebrew on the hard drive, do you have a video showing how to jailbreak the ps3 then move over the old hard drive?

11. for those who are trying this and are already running into a problem where your PS3 won't read your USB flash stick. I just ran into the problem when I just started with the version check. You'd get a message that says, no applicable data found. all you have to do, is reformat your stick in FAT32, which is mentioned in the video, but this is not all. see, some drives just format into GPT partitions, you need MBR, the ps3 only reads MBR. what i did was, use rufus to format my flash drive into FAT32 MBR. viola. works now. hope this helps someone with this particular issue

12. Thanks Mr Mario! Like and Sub. I followed closely and had no issues modding my CHCH20xx NOR. I will add my experience below in case it helps someone. I had some issues with the first dump not working and again once when it said it completed successfully but was only a 2.38mb file (not 16mb NOR). I slow reformatted my usb again and this time changed the allocation size to 32 instead of 16 and that seemed to do the trick. Nor Dumped in 2 – 5 min. Thanks again.

13. **FOR EVERYONE HAVING PROBLEMS AT 25:00** When trying to initialize exploit it worked but when I went to patch Nor flash memory my ps3 froze completely, after doing some research I found that if you have that problem you can use the Nor HDD edition. On PS3 go to ps3xploit page, Flash writer, 4.85 HFW, Write flash from HDD, select Nor or which ever you have. Once it takes you to the page set as homepage then delete cach etc, close web browser and open it up again. Then follow the instructions on the page.

26. I have my usb formatted to fat32 and i have the .PUP file on the usb. my ps3 is on firmware 4.,83,
    When I insert my usb into my ps3 and go to update it says 'no applicable update data was found.' PLEASE HELP

27. when i tried to go into recovery mode and pressed system update it said. No applicable update was found. so i renamed the file and got rid of .PUP and tied again but it didnt work

42. Nice tutorial. I was on the process of dumping the patch and I had experienced freezing issues. Adding the hex.jpg file fixed it.
