I used all the Google attempts… buzz was fine.. not that much wave… but Google plus the most lovely.. I was sad you terminated…
Only lasted 3 months.
2016… lol didn't get picked up
Here because of the new college humor 😀
is anyone else here because of danisnotonfire
So now its google docs????
Ex- Google Wave engineer Joseph Gentle has created SpaceJS (Open Source NodeJS Library) following the same principle of google wave. So SpaceJS is Google Wave re-incarnated
Google Wave (discontinued) sounds quite good on the surface, but Google has an obsession with reduced functionality. They'll hook you in, then proceed to remove all the features that attracted you in the first place.
0:25 Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo! You do NOT send passwords over email. I hate people who do that. You send a (session dependent) password-reset link.
damn, such a good idea! sad we no longer have it 🙁
Asana is wave 2.0
Never heard of Google Wave until recently. Looks sweet – wish it were still around.
Seems dopey to me — or at least nothing to do with e-mail, a thing which Google clearly don't understand. I just want to send people a note, and keep a copy, and be able to sort stuff without being bound by their silly forms.
With a fraction of the effort they could have made gmail work.

Sigh… le unzip
very nice, short and funny explaination! Understood 🙂
But isn't this pretty much like google +?
I really wish they would bring this back. They never really gave it a fair chance. Sure, there were a lot of people that didn't see any use for it, but most of these same people are the ones who saw no use for an iPad (until it came out.) However I believe this would be a great tool for the fields of software development, engineering, and various scientific fields.
If you can't get your own employees to adopt it, it's probably not very good.
I am thankful for the existence of basically the same features in Google Docs/Drive. I use it for class projects and just to joke around with friends. The problem probably was that no one had the same troubles with email as the inventors did, or they just deal with them.
RIP Wave 2009-2012 Fuck you, Google+
I tested googe wave, but I didn't know anyone else so it was kind of pointless. Lol
не идея хорошая была, хотя почему была в умелых руках можно восстановит, раскрутить подточить под новые реали и все =)
an excellent begging
Great video. Too bad Google Wave went away.
If only they had the rest of it – threads without breaking into a monster because that one guy didn't "reply all", answering peoples questions through quotes 4 posts down the thread, you know, the rest of what made Google Wave the future of communications.

This service does not exist anymore, and is completely extinct by Gmail
This Google service is like, so obsolete!
Google Wave sounds like something I needed this year… and a lot of organizations could benefit from. Too bad it got canceled..
Like wow bro, I got like this condo you can check out and you can like sign for it and invite all your like bros together and then they could like buy all these other, like condos, and wow, we could like kick it and have all these like margaritas and condos and like money, whatever bro…
and..and..and..and..and..
That is why google wave died.
Epipheo I hope you got your invite because this was a REALLY good presentation of the idea and if as you say what you showed was only a fraction of its possibilities it amazes me Wave never really caught on.
Maybe they should've left it at your version or even better put it in your hands because what it clearly needed was a world class explicator and you dear boy are world class.
Live long and prosper.
What if they don't have wave
Did you get an invite?
kinda like pirate pad

Why did google stop developing this? I mean, it could be useful, especially together with google drive.
they didn't continue the development of this software.
… It's been dead for 2 years.
RIP Wave, Reader
Never meant to be a giant product. It was a geek's tool from the start, it was a lab for them to find out how to run things. It was a giant success in that they used it for Google Docs' Kix editor.
this was from before google docs had this whole thing. it used to be that only one person could edit at a time, then they wrote all this code for google wave, then that code got used for google docs.
Google Docs
kind of like a personal forum
Dead now!
very useful.. this was already done with Highrise by 37signals. But with Google, they'll probably incorporate a ton more options at a lesser price. These guys just keep killing the competition! But as long as it works.. I just need effective communication solutions and this is on track.
