When you read the book this looks overhyped as fuck, specially when you realize they changed ALOT of stuff in the movie.

John David Washington is already becoming as good as his old man.
I dunno the book of Daryl Davis, is a way better story and ending than BlackKlansman. The fact as a black man he befriends a senior KKK member. Goes to Klan rallies then talks, not argue, about their differences got 200+ members to leave the KKK is way better story then this movie. But like I said, this is Hollywood so if there isn't any action or racial stereotypes (Shaft-like black protagonist with gold chains) they won't make it. I think there is a picture of Daryl in a turtleneck with Klan leader. So yeah gotta love Hollywood promoting racial stereotypes.

I checked the real events behind this story. It's true Ron Stallworth, a black officer cleverly infiltrated the KKK under David Duke. He got some dirt on Duke, and after a phone call from the local police Duke pulled out of Colorado Springs. Almost everything is made up crap. I think Spike did a disservice to the event because it makes the KKK larger than life. I would have liked it better if it stuck to reality.
