6. I have been a nurse practitioner for 13 years, I work at one of the largest hospital systems in Detroit, and right now we are not worried about the virus but we are worried about the 「treatment」. We try very hard to keep people off ventilators to protect them from acquiring pneumonia. Unfortunately, our protocols and policies have been modified for the virus requiring us to unnecessarily put many people on ventilators as well as prescribing steroids to treat pulmonary inflammation. With high patient acuity, diminished staff, and long hours, many of these patients are neglected when it comes to proper ventilator care, frequent repositioning, and use of cough assist and shake vests in order to move fluid and loosen mucus in these sedated patients, an impossible work load for us healthcare providers. Furthermore, many of us providers are developing urinary tract infections and dehydration from long work hours without breaks. I have no fear or concern of acquiring the virus like many other advanced practice nurses and physicians, but what we absolutely do fear is the vaccine that will come and it』s effect on our patients and ourselves to continue with our career if we refuse to get it, like the influenza vaccine. If you don』t want to become a Coronavirus statistic then DO NOT go to the hospital for respiratory issues unless it is a life or death situation.

You also did not mention how the amount of deaths is higher for the 2020 coronavirus than the 2020 flu, but the flu has a much much much higher amount of cases this year. So, this means everyone can get infected (all age groups and everyone who isnt immune, have recovered from the virus), so thats still over 7 billion people as only 200 thousand or so have recovered. I hope we get through this and i pray for all.

27. Too bad the stopping of a spread of the disease is as simple as not coughing on everyone, washing your hands and other basic courteous practices, because people are too self-absorbed to think of others and this is why we are in the situation we are right now
