  14. This is one of those videos that takes too long. If you want to know… she suspends them over a small mount of water using toothpicks and tape. ROots can happen as quickly as 2 days or 2 weeks but faster than many other methods.

  16. Water propagation worked well for me and faster than the soil one! You』re supposed to let the leaves callus over for 4-5 days and then place it above water, not IN it. The presence of water below the leaves will cause them to sprout roots in the direction of water (and they won』t get dehydrated).

  23. Hi Soul Sugar, watching how you use two small sticks tape together to hold your succulent leaf in the water to root. would it be easier to use steel pins long enough to go through the leaf then suspend it in the water.
    I have seen many of your videos, but never see who it is who is talking.

  26. This is the hard and long way!
    Short cut:
    1) After getting the leaves (try your best for a clean cut);
    2) Air dry for 48 hours;
    3) Use same cup in the video then fill it with 2-3mm cotton;
    4) Add water up to 1mm higher than the cotton;
    5) Submerge the leaves in the water. 2-3 day you can see roots coming out.

  37. I have 3 that are in water now, I really like the look of the roots and would like to keep them in water. Is it bad to leave them in water?
    Do I need plant food or something? Thanks!
