  2. I have a brand new STOCK motorola photon 4g 2.3.4 with a sprint loaded from the manufacturer (Though I don't have a plan with Sprint). I have a Solavei sim card and want to be able to use that sim card (or any, when i'm traveling abroad) as the phone carrier. How do I do this without messing up the phone? I don't know if I need to unlock bootloader, but may just need to 'root' the phone? or deblur/debloat the phone? I know I definite don't want to brick my device. I simply want to be able to use internet in order to install Whatsapp and Instagram (possibly facebook).

    Needing HHEELLPP!!

  9. I was finally able to get my phone rooted but the wifi app wont work, like something pops up saying that I have to pay for it on my monthly bill for wifi and even when it did hook up to my laptop, on both infrastructure and adhoc, it showed i didn't have internet access

  12. My Photon says within root checker Basic that I do not have root access. I did everything that you said in the video. Can you help me. It also said through the on click root thingy that it could get permission for something. Can you Help

  26. It sounds like others are having the same problem I am; OTA update to 2.3.5 and I lost root access, which i expected – but now I'm not able to get root again with this method. Any updates QB King … or shappy penguin? Thanks guys

  40. I also did the 2.3.5 update (regretting it).. I discovered that the OCR no longer will work..At the end of the root process it says Ive been rooted but SuperUser & BusyBox arent installed.I went to manually Install them & try a second time to root but failed again…..
    Any Suggestions QBKING77..??????

  42. The only thing i used root for was removing the Camera and Video recording sound does anyone know of another way to do this without a rooted photon?.

    I did exactly what you expicas and I root icon appears and the steps are equal nso know if you know why is that?
