6. Okay i just watched the original 1977 Suspiria and now im seeing only the trailer of this film and only by watching the trailer it seems like a really really really bad remake.
   And even in this trailer i see scenes that were never used in the original one.

   It seems like a commercial horror movie to me.

   Watch the original, with the all the camerawork, light works, decor and tension build up it is way more superior.

7. I came for the naked dancers actually and thought it's some kind of sexy bizzaro fiction, but it's actually horror. Nice. ?

12. Movie had a lot of promise and in it's own way, it is artfully done, but there are a lot of things that aren't really explained. It's like they try to cram s much into this movie and you are trying to pay attention to this and that; you probably would need to watch it twice in order to catch things you miss. Tilda is a masterful actress! My biggest complaint with the movie is that the score by Thom York is completely out in left field unless that was the object. No idea on that one.

14. Finally got to see this and I'm heavily biased with the original being one of my favourite horror films.

    It's a decent film – I do think they did the right thing not just trying to make a carbon copy of the original. I was a little unsure when they announced the remake but was glad when I realised it wouldn't be the usual generic horror film remake Hollywood likes to do.

    The film is quite interesting I just felt it ran a little too long. I get they wanted to add a lot more stuff with the original being very basic as it was trying to be a visual nightmare. I just felt the main plot got lost with all the subtext.

23. I actually paid to see this movie. Worst money I've ever spent. Hey – I love a good scary creepy movie, but this was just weird, disappointing, nonsensical, and bad makeup. Sorry.

25. This can beat the original in plot, but it can't beat it in cinematography & production design & music together. I know only two such movies with powerful, drawing, Technicolor cinematography & the background score that can immerse you no matter time or plot : Suspiria 1977, & The Shining 1980.
