As Zdenka said, Proxies can really change the performance….I'm glad you use Windows, Zdenka…..And I highly recommend the EVGA 2070 or 2080 (several brands use that Nvidia config….I just picked up the 2080,) and it DRAMATICALLY changed my rendering time and totally speeds up everything I do in Premiere and DaVinci. Love your Posts! you give great advice!

  14. Very interesting. I shoot in 1080 and 2.7K then I upscale the files in render. It seems to work quite well. BTW I use the free version of DaVinci. Thanks for sharing. Cheers and Ahoy.

  17. Hmmmm… I do a lot of editing with Lumafusion on IOS. I wonder if it does some kind of automatic proxy setup, being that my iPad is an older Air2 and I don』t have issues with speed except when rendering footage.
    …or it may be my videos tend to be short.

  22. Ahoy ! I'm on Linux since 2013 and I'm using KDENLIVE non-linear video editing software with same proxy clip option on i5 with 8 giga ram machine. It works decent 🙂

  25. I am getting good amount of noise in shadows in my canon m50, I think this problem started recently, I am using viltrox speedbooster and 24-105 which gives me f2.8, I do have ample amount of lights as well, what to do now?
