  3. The reason you don't get faster speeds is because you pay for a certain amount of speed. And if the original modem already provides the speed you pay for, there is no reason to upgrade the modem. So you kinda wasted your time here but you saved some money

  7. I bought this same one about a year and a half ago it works so much better than my last one. I have always bought the modem so I don』t have to pay the 「rental fee」 but my last one was about 6 years old and was not the latest model when I got it.

  15. Hey man, what if I don't have a modem and only have a router? How does that work? Do I need to get a modem too? Also I'm with Fios, will it work?

  19. To bad att fiber only lets you add a router as an extension. I've tried so many routers and only managed to get slower speeds. I get around 450 down and upload with the att router. When I'm hard wired on my Mac I get 950 down and upload.
