  7. I really don't know how long he's gonna keep talking about this. It seems like he's out of content already and milks information about PS5 and Xbox.

  8. Basically just get the PS5 if you're on the fence about which console to get, and if you're also worried about the SSD expansion

    Because the ps5 can use third party drives that WILL get cheaper within afew months and when more companies release their own versions and different sizes, also there will be more variety in speeds, you can use ssd enclosures if you cant afford the internal fastest ssd drives, since ps5 uses much faster usb ports than xbox and in general the SSD in the PS5 is much much faster than the xbox ssd anyway, mainly because of the custom ssd controller, and you will overall have much more choice in storage brands with the ps5

    The xbox on the other hand, WILL NOT get cheaper since xbox's accessory prices never have a sale on or reduce in price and you will only be limited to buying from microsoft since its a proprietary Card, so do not go with that.

  10. At least from an Xbox standpoint…most accessories will work on Series X and Series S…so I already have a headset and and multiple controllers.

In regards to storage on the Series X/S, the beautiful part is that you』re able to use an existing external hard drive to store all your last gen games and leave the internal drive dedicated to new gen games. And for me, I know I』ll only have about 1-4 new gen games for awhile lol… really only waiting on Infinite currently

  16. My PC has only ~300GB of SSD space and it is plenty as I only play one game at a time. Do people really need to have multiple games installed at the same time?

  23. I think an important note to keep in mind here is that although they are nearly equivalently priced the PS5 SSDs are much better than the Xbox versions. They are in fact better than anything on the market at the moment. And considering even the most high end SSDs out now only run at 3.5gb/s and cost about $90-100ish per 500gb (for the cheapest ones); $115 really isn't too much more for something running 2gb/s faster and isn't even out on the market yet. Still expensive though, but it's a better value:money proposition than it's presented in that article.

  28. He keeps talking nonsense about the storage issue. Optimizing games for a random access storage (SSD) is way different than a sequential storage (HDD). MW 2019 had to replicate every asset across the application bundle to increase asset locality in order to keep the load times low. That is not an issue with next-gen storage mediums. No redundancy + better decompression pipeline may actually result in more space efficient games. I seriously doubt that storage upgrade will be a necessary upgarde as he suggests.

  40. You know we used to have things called memory cards why not make a system where we can have a direct link to small ssds that fit in the console in the front to expand storage wouldn't that make more sense

  42. Of course there are costs to next gen gaming, but they aren』t hidden. You don』t have to buy anyone of them though. Don』t want to buy a second controller, a headset or a storage drive, you don』t have to.
