  7. Ohhhh! The RAM is on the chip die! I didn't realize that before. So this is quite a lot of the reason it performs so much better than an Intel chip. That and the higher IPC explain a lot of the performance difference. If Intel built 16gb RAM on die that would help a lot. Fact is this is a damn impressive chip but the other oem laptop makers can't just go completely vertical like Apple and make the same design decisions.

  10. I』m curious to watch the video for the new Apple computers. The only thing I』m concern about is how it』s going to keep the laptop cool since those claim are a significant upgrade.

I don't understand what's the point of this, New chips will come every year slowly and steadily, and of-course with new chips new facility will come, but that doesn't make it great…..its just Business….I think Apple should have done Something better than this chipsy thing, they need to bring something like Samsung does, apple is there to refurbished old technology, they don't place New ideas on the Table….Bad Apple and Sad Apple…..

  16. I'm considering upgrading my late 2013 iMac with 32GB of RAM and 1TB hard drive with the M1 Mac Mini which all the reviews indicate would be much much better even with just 16GB of RAM. My question to you, can you recommend an affordable 4K monitor to go with the M1 Mac Mini? Maybe something under $300?

  20. when Apple 1st had powerPC chips it blew away Intel at the time. But eventually intel caught up after they stole tech from AMD. Intel was never an innovative company, they just keep stealing tech from AMD and hire people to make it better and then tell companies like Dell to only use their CPU or else. So I don't mind Apple blow away Intel, because they are an evil company ran like mafia mobsters.

  27. I think the next things going to happen will be in a few directions: 1.
    Company such as Asus will try to do the similar thing as Apple to
    develop its own ARM based Soc. 2. Intel, AMD, nVidia etc should start to
    implement a optical bus system to replace the PCI bus. And hopefully,
    in the fall of 2021, we will see optical based computers, motherboards
    and addon boards, and 10G optical network will be standard for all PC
    and notebooks, in addition to a new optical based USB standard.

  35. Skip the first generation of these processors, that's my feeling. Especially if working on crucial projects for business. If your workflow ain't broke, don't fix it.

  37. "That's my thoughts". You still really need to work on your grammar. You are still using 'is' and 'was' when you should be using 'are' and 'were'. Linus is horrendous with grammar on his channels scripts.
