Viel Spass dabei.
Warbird Aviation
Enjoy the beauty of flying. We fly with our warbirds from the beautiful St. Stephan airfield in Switzerland.
From there we take passenger flights to the Matterhorn or around the Jungfraujoch. Flying over the Swiss glaciers and around the mountains is a fantastic experience in these old airplanes. Warbirds were built very robustly, so that aerobatic maneuvers can also be flown. The planes are very complex and require everything from your pilots. Flying in the mountains is also challenging due to the narrow conditions and rapidly changing weather systems.
The North American T-28 Trojan C version has 1450 hp and is a strong, robust aircraft that was used as a trainer and also as a warbird in numerous theaters of war. Our T-28 has an arrestor hook and was used on aircraft carriers. The propeller is shorter than on other T-28s because the propeller often touched due to the hard landings on aircraft carriers.
The North American T-6 J version was built for the post-war German air force and is rare today. The aircraft is called the Pilot Maker and requires a lot of skill and ability from the pilot to get it into the air and safely back to the ground. This warbird has trained many pilots and it is said that once you have mastered this aircraft you are prepared for the larger warbirds.
Join us because with the cockpit cameras you will have the feeling of sitting in the cockpit of the warbirds and experience flights within Europe. Experience aerobatics and flights over mountains and glaciers at up to 250 knots. Have lots of fun with it.
Looks like Grenchen departed from there many times on my way to Mollis.😊
Beautiful Bird! Is it true that The T28 is a better performer than the P51?
Beautiful T-28.
A beautiful aircraft and excellent camera work on this video, also very well edited and produced..Superb Piloting on the maiden flight, thanks cheers Paul
What an awesome looking T-28 ! Thanks for sharing the video !
I was assigned to VT-2 at NAS Whiting field when the US Navy retired these great old aircraft. I had the pleasure of both working in the paint shop and finally in the engine shop working on the R-1820 9 cylinder engines. I was also lucky enough to fly many maintenance flights after performing overnight maintenance on the aircraft. One of the things that we loved to do over Pensacola bay during the flight was to go inverted and then open the canopy. Great way to clean out the aircraft and give the DC-9's and 727 passengers climbing out of Pensacola airport a great view. Take care of that great aircraft, you've done a fantastic job of restoring her.
The t-28 has a better climb rate than a P-51 Mustang and are a beast of a airplane.
Great video, amazing warbird! Congrats from Portugal 👍🇵🇹
Flew the T-28B in VT-3 in 1968 and the T-28C in VT-5. The most fun you can have with your pants on!! We needed 115/145 av gas (purple) to acheive 1450 HP. What are they using now?
Gorgeous!
02:28 amazing prop-tip vortices! ❤
Flew them (B』s), in Primary at Milton, FL. 1981-82. Right elbow on canopy rail while taxiing like a boss-not on the stick. Nice low transition.😊
