  1. I've been using PIA and now looking for a new vpn. My gripe with PIA was when I started getting really really slow connections and my macbook kept dropping the connection. When I tried to reach out to tech support at first they seemed willing to help but when they asked me to use a third party diagnostic took and I couldn't get it to work they stopped responding. They just ignored my email. This is another problem with their tech support. They only have email and the turnaround time was at best 24 hours so if the problem requires more than 1 response from them or if you have a problem with what they tell you the time becomes painful.

Now I am looking for another to try. So far this video is the most recent review I can find. All the others are 1 year old which is frustrating. While it was a good over all review I would of liked a more detailed description of their features and how well they worked and any known issues with them.

  2. You can't trust any vpn service to not keep logs. Linux logs everything and it really takes effort to configure a vpn server that doesn't log anything traffic/user spesific. Its cheaper to leave your server logging and just say "We don't keep logs". At least assume cheapest services to do this. Only way to know if vpn service is logging or not, is when they're required to give all their data to authorities and that doesn't lead to customer prosecution.

  3. Nord app does not work at all in China and is widely considered a joke amongst expats.
Their 'help desk' has admitted that the app doesn't work but won't offer a refund.
Based on their service and support here, I wouldn't use them outside China either.
Note, I tried 4 different manual server Nord connections – their 'workaround' for the app not working here – to make this comment and couldn't get YT up. Psiphon connected immediately.

  4. Great video! In addition, FlyVPN is also very good, it has no log upload and it can be used for free for 14 days for newly registered mobile phone users, and it is very fast and privacy is very guaranteed

  5. I self host my vpn when i need access to my home network. otherwise i use my work's vpn. i've zero to hide but i do value my privacy.

  6. What ? Still covering NordVPN ? It was hacked and the disclosure explanation was not that convincing at all. Why Astrill, Mullvad, BitDefender not included ? Only partial.

  7. I use NordVPN. I've never had a problem with Netflix however a lot of people say it works for Amazon Prime which is sorta true. If you go through the app to go to Amazon Prime it will NOT work, however if you go through a browser it will, not sure exactly why but its been my experience never had it work through the app always works through browser. My biggest problem with Tunnel Bear is they don't support torrenting, let's be honest that's probably a sizeable portion of VPN users kinda surprising you didn't mention torrenting on any of them. Sure torrenting is usually done with illegal intent but torrenting itself is legal. A big selling point for me was NordVPN not being based in the United States or a country that is part of the 5/9/14 eyes, if you don't know what that is and care about privacy read up.

  8. Thank u for the video.
I use LUNA, but just bcz it’s blocks ads, when I listen to music in YouTube .
I really don’t know if I need vpn

  9. I'm not going with what you "chose" to list in your vid, none of them is the best, I'm not sure if you were aware, NordVPN got hacked in sometime around October 2019. I'm sticking with Cyberghost VPN over any of them. If you care about your privacy, stay away from NordVPN.

  10. Can someone answer if a vpn would allow port forwarding when using a mobile internet modem. Mobile home internet from Verizon and AT&T don't allow port forwarding.

  11. They did not get any data from users, all they got was an EXPIRED private key. Stop spreading rumors. READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE! Thumbs Down for that. ???
    https://techcrunch.com/2019/10/21/nordvpn-confirms-it-was-hacked/
“The server itself did not contain any user activity logs; none of our applications send user-created credentials for authentication, so usernames and passwords couldn’t have been intercepted either,” said the spokesperson.
According to the spokesperson, the expired private key could not have been used to decrypt the VPN traffic on any other server.
NordVPN said “no other server on our network has been affected.”

  12. Any VPN speed is solely determined by what your ISP package is that you signed up for. Exception being Internet congestion which may cause a slowdown. (Or the VPN has crappy servers)

  13. I have NordVPN. Used the free trial for 2 days and upgraded it to paid subscription 2 years ago. Just renewed for 3 years for $84. ($2.33/month, $28/yr) ExpressVPN $99/yr.
Easiest to use. Self configured Windows when installed, no slowdowns noticed between VPN off or on. 100/10 service from my ISP. Always running 98% or better for speed.
Internet congestion will slow speed but I just select another server that's faster.

  14. I have never heard anyone review Buffered VPN. i’ve been using it for a couple years. It’s in the low price range, has a lot of options around the world, always had fast customer service. I like it. But I noticed if I try to connect to the BBC from the US I’ll get a message… We noticed you are using a VPN, Sorry but this service can only be accessed from with in the UK. Or some wording close to that. My question then is does this happen with all VPN services or is it a negative point in the one I’m using now

  15. Nord is permanently out of consideration because they covered up a server intrusion. IMO. Also they have intrusive ads. I just switched VPNs and didn't even look at them. FWIW I went with Golden Frog (VyprVPN) though ExpressVPN was a top choice too.
