Strategic naval navigation point, gold, silver, diamonds, rare earths – and the work the USSR did has paid off in the communist nature of the genocidal ANC. And of course, Communist China is extremely racist toward Africans, so the regime has no problem using South Africans as disposable slaves. So it's unsurprising ZA is quickly becoming a Chicom satellite. You should talk to YT user serpantZA, who is from South Africa and also lived in China and has seen how whacked all of it has become.

31. I stopped worrying about Chinese activities when I left South Africa.

32. A few comments on the relationship with SA. I work in a mainland Chinese school. A year ago half the foreign teachers were from the States, half from SA. This year 75% are from SA. I really don't know what the reason for this increase is. Maybe the school just has good connections with SA. Unfortunately though, there's probably a deeper agenda -as the saying goes: everything in China is political.
    Not long ago I worked in a university. The best students I knew were full fee paying Somalians. The laziest were Kazakhs -living on full scholarships at the expense of the Chinese government. In the West scholarships are for the brightest/most motivated students. China, however, simply offers free scholarships as a perk to its trading partners.

44. Honestly, it all depends if China can survive the storm during the next 10 or so years, the investments in Africa won't pay off before the next generation or so. Not on a scale that China seems to want at least. Ultimately it doesn't matter if you have a nice garden and neighborhood if your house is on fire.

Europe and the US should shut down any favorable trade terms with South Africa. In the long run, the South Africans will understand, like many other African countries are starting to, that China doesn't care at all about them. The Chinese Communist Party is just the new colonial power.

    I was dismayed at a little detail in your presentation. The photo of Ramaphosa with his hand on Xi's chest is clearly photoshopped. Ramaphosa was overlayed in the shot. It's quite evident. Please only use real photos (the next one of them shaking hands was real). You guys do such a great job without having to resort to fake stuff.
