5. This happened to me. Iwas on my VPN on a European server when I decided to check my bank account. Seems my bank has a company that monitors for hackers. They saw my call as a foreign server and tried calling me but my phone was off so they shut my bank account down. What a pain in the ass, I had to re- establish all my auto pays etc. So lesson is shut off your VPN before checking any bank stuff.

10. Hi guys which one of these 3 basically "stops your connection after one exact hour"? I mean, i'm using Avira Phantom pro and, after 1 hour it stops giving me the vpn service so i've to turn it off, waiting some seconds and turn it on again, each hour. 16. Ipvanish got slow ass speed even with a server right in my city. Not to mention disconnections happen regularly and it wouldnt auto-reconnect even with that option on. No wonder it's cheaper than other vpns. Would not recommend.

17. If I have broadband, what's the point of VPN?

    My broadband modem, on which I can't change DNS, has to channel everything that it sends to or receives back from my wireless router to be processed by my broadband internet provider.

    If this is the case paying for a VPN makes no sense.

27. Just going to put this out there….. When you connect to a pptp vpn service, they have logs tracked for your device or devices in particular on what you surf, and what you do. In other words it's government controlled either way. If there is a glimpse of suspicious activity, and government needs information, the vpn carrier is required to provide that information or suffer the charges and take the responsibility. In which they don't wanna do that so they keep track of and logs of every connected device to there servers. So depending what you intend to do with it defeats the purpose to prevent tracking you either way.
