  30. Iran is 95% Shia Muslim but is surrounded by Sunni Muslim countries. If a Sunni Muslim country does business with Iran there are political repercussions. Iran was a 'peaceful' country. In1953 the US orchestrated a coup d'etat in Iran which ended up establishing 'oil deals' for American companies (US foreign interests).
