Bubble tea originated in Taichung. Someone said the original store was called Chunsuitang(春水堂). To the best of my recollections , it cost you 40 NTD a bottle 5 years ago but today some places in Taiwan, the price the vendor charge you may be up to 160 NTD a bottle because the sellers want to take the opportunity to Jack up the price and enjoy the bonanza. 50 NTD for a bottle now is reasonable.
