  1. China did not devalue its currency. It's currency was depreciated as a result of market responses to the tariffs imposed by the US. Sayaf either did not know the difference between 'depreciation' and devaluation or was just being dishonest outright. Devaluation involves manipulation. Depreciation involves supply and demand.

  2. we all knows that US-China trade war, China wins. Trump have to craft a face saving letter, making himself a man of the years…..

  3. only a few small companies that exported directly to US moved out of china. the rest of the Vietnam 'exports' were actually Chinese products disguised as Vietnam products. duh.
    worldwide retailers are buying from china as usual because there are no other alternatives in this world that offer a lower price than China. that included US retailers. US factories are still producing in China because they are selling to the Chinese market too. nothing much changed.
    the perceived lower monthly GDP was due to the fact that US retailers have been stockpiling their inventory months ago with stocks to last them a year.

Tariffs only mean that either employers are going to have to pay more for their employees because of inflation America will become poor with less people buying anything or being able to afford anything since tariffs only affect those at the bottom no home buying no building materials absolute stagnation
