  2. Hey troy , my speeds are super slow when I run my VPN router in conjunction with a second router using pptp. I get better speeds using openvpn, but not even close to my regular speeds with out using VPN. Suggestions?

  3. Hey man I’m trying to setup a PPTP VPN server on my linksys ac3200 on the vpn server section where I would copy and paste the IPVanish server. I can’t, it’s only allowing my to enter a IP address instead of me typing letters

  14. following instruction for my VPN(Vypr)when it comes to importing the OPN file it starts but never completes.My Vpn says,has it got DD.WRT it is not on the list of routers,has it been flashed?Any help appreciated.Otherwise i follow Troypoint tutorials all the time,hope i can solve this problem,otherwise i've bought a £200+ piece of junk.

  17. Hey, great video. I have an Asus router too. I downloaded the Asuswrt-Merlin firmware for it. It looks almost identical to the stock Asus firmware, but it allows you to set up your VPN in such a way that some of the IPs will be on the VPN and some will not. This avoids the problem of needing two routers to achieve this.

    All you have to do is pick "Policy Rules" for the "Redirect internet traffic" field. That allows you to specify IP ranges for VPN vs non-VPN. It seems to work very well. I set mine up with 192.168.1.96/27 as being on VPN so all the IPs from 96-127 will be on the VPN. I then statically assign the ones I won't to be non-VPN to something other than that range. DHCP is set to pick from within 96-127.

  24. PLEASE READ THIS Hi Troy thank you for everything. I got IP Vanish. I have 2 questions. I am moving and will have a new Wifi IP address. Will I have to do change anything for my IP Vanish to work or not? Second question. Will I lose all of my Favorites on Kodi? It took SO long to save all of my Favorites and I don't want to lose them. Troy I did trouble shoot and looked for answers but found none. I thought of you because I get your emails and I love the way your videos. Thank you again. BTW where will I find your response to my question as I'll be moving in a month.
