  1. Way too much talking, not enough photos.

Also the situation in Hong Kong isn’t “complicated”. It’s very simple actually. The Chinese government is corrupt, and so is the HK government

  2. I think you would enjoy Sham Shui Po and Kwun Tong as well.
You may also consider Tai O & Stanley to see the other face of Hong Kong.

  3. Thank you for visiting Hong Kong & i am glad to hear that you love this place. Now we(the protestors) hope Hong Kong be a better place, Hong Kong will be better. Fight for freedom, Stand with Hong Kong, thanks

  4. 5 minutes in and I haven't seen a single decent shot…unless you're into distant taxis and aloof perspectives on traffic markings.

  5. Hong Kong is literally trreash now compared to other Chinese Cities. just next door, Shenzen is so so much newer, more advance , cleaner, More open, and safer then HongKong. Ppl who ever said they were born or from HK should be embarrassed and asshammedd now.

  6. I am Hongkonger. I love the so-called cyberpunk style of neonlight, luminescence, artificial light the most. And also some natural environmental next to the crowded city, buildings, sunset, … At the beginning, I thought there are not enough natural places as fascinating as foreign countries, but then I am starting to discover its own style – diversity.

  7. As a local, feel strange but inspiring to look at Hong Kong from a foreigner perspective, nice video and photos.
Be careful with the police brutality, and hope you enjoy our city 🙂

  8. I was born in Hong Kong and have immigrated to Canada during my teen years. I have always wondered what visitors to HK see when they go to HK, so thank you for showing your perspective and appreciation of it. Truth be told, when I was there this past March, the city felt so depressed that I didn't think it'd be a good experience for visitors. However, your sharing changed my thoughts.
Thank you also for feeling sad for the state that the city is in now. It's important that there is international support for the city. My heart gets broken time and again with fresh news each week…

  9. Another great piece of work Joe. Hong Kong is just magic! Moved here 3 years ago from South Africa with my family. Even with the current political situation we still love it, so glad we can call this place home.

  10. I got lost in Hong K//ong in 1977 as a young 19 year old Marine, I saw some amazing thing while trying to find my way back to Fenwick pier so as to get a ride back out to the Midway. I walked quite a ways on the waterfront/industrial areas. Two thing struck me about it, 1st no bothered me or really even took notice of me and second, Absolutely no Kung Fu fighting anywhere, bit disappointing really.

  11. I'm from NY but London and Hong Kong are my favorite cities in the world. Both are transportation and economic hubs of their respective continents, global financial capitals, have international, cosmopolitan vibes, amazing food, excellent night life and cool bars, huge, dense cities with a lot of street activity, street markets, world class shopping etc. Similar to how l love the idea that I can go to Cairo or Barcelona for the weekend from London, I can also escape to Manila or Bangkok for the weekend from Hong Kong then during the week live a very fast paced, city lifestyle with everything I could possibly want at my finger tips. Plus Hong Kong just has a lot of physical landscape beauty with the mountains, bay, islands, beaches, parks etc. In London, if you get bored, Paris is a 2 hour train ride away and similarly in Hong Kong you can quickly escape to Macau aka the Vegas of Asia or the massive cities of Shenzhen and Guangzhou. We don't have many of these same conveniences in NY especially since the culture is the same all across the US. Plus Asia and Europe are just more fun with varied cities, countries, cultures and landscapes to enjoy.

  12. How do you do a timelapse with changing light, like from day to night? I haven't been able to find anything on it

  13. Joe, It looks like your using a hood from Sqaurehood on your X100F. How do you like it? If it worth the cost? Thank you
