  1. So Mr. Rudd is also OK with Chinese PHD students learning about drone swarm tech or face recognition and taking that tech back to China and giving it to the PLA. You leave out of your Pro China talk the fact that China has been accused of funding PHD students and other programs to improve their intelligence gather capabilities – all of which is used to spy on other nations as well as spy on their own citizens… but Mr. Rudd is OK with China doing this.

  2. What does it mean that Chinese companies not conforming to the American Accounting standards will be delisted? You have such coded language there mate. That basically means Chinese companies that cook the books – financial fraud. And the fact that it is so wide spread is alarming – and the fact that all the US government can do, is delist them, is telling of what the CCP thinks of Chinese companies committing fraud on the US. You think it is more damaging to delist the companies Mr. Rudd? So we forgo the rule of law just because it is China? Or do you punish companies that cook the books… and is it really a few trillion dollars of companies… are there really that many companies not following the rules?

  3. 1. Hong Kong should have freedom of speech, human rights and democracy under Sino-British Joint Declaration. China broke its promises to Hong Kong.

    2. Protesters used to voice out and arranged all peaceful protests but Lam Cheng did not listen, she insists her methods are better. In fact, she has never cared of anyone but she is licking CCP's shoes. That's why she created all protests. Riot Hong Kong police and these pro-China Hong Kong officials are licking CCP's assholes. They are all liars.

    3. When protesters tried to find the exits after peaceful protests, police intended to close more exits then they said protesters did not leave so they started use tear gas and force. How did you think police set up and closed the exits then a lot of peaceful protesters could leave ?

    4. Police pretended they were protesters then beaten up the students, raped female students, etc. Please find out why the doctors and nurses protest as well.

    5. Some Police used real guns while the protesters did not attack them first. Police did not follow the international gun rules and instructions.

    6. Some students were being murdered secretly. Police responded 'They dead by accidents when they have not investigated the truth.' How did you think all young protesters' dying secretly these months ? It break the world's record in the history. How did you think police and pro-China officials did not piss off all people of the world ?

    7. The dog of Xi Jinping said Carrie Lam Cheng and police should use force to control protests. Xi intends to destroy Hong Kong, Macau and China himself. How do you think all people would not become violent protesters if the government is terrible. In mainland China, there was a firework protest when the officials lied to people in mainland China last month.

    8. Again, Hong Kong is a part of China geography but Hong Kong is completely different technically regarding to law, Hong Kongers' thoughts, freedoms, human rights, the knowledge of democracy. That's why Hong Kong does not require China but China needs Hong Kong. We all Hong Kongers against CCP and pro-China officials and supporters. They should leave Hong Kong and do not bother Hong Kongers'.

    9. Many countries would not accept 5G China, it is a spy telecommunication network to control and monitor everyone of the world if your country use 5G. Global investors would not invest into 1 belt 1 road of China, it is a scam. CCP wants to control every country.

STAND WITH HONG KONG, FIGHT FOR FREEDOM.

  4. If this was maos China this pro China would be executed immediately by mao himself. For suggesting China cooperating with foreigners!
He should stop while he is ahead! Dude know your role! China will use u for their train tracks any time n anywhere before u collect your bribe money!

  5. Normal, not normal, what does that mean when you are not discussing live organ harvesting from falun gong practitioner, concentration camps for million Uighur Muslim, religion persecution! Moreover, China people no more free than the starting of economic endeavor. Spare the obvious change n economic advance! If one really want to know how free Chinese in China, just look at the laws of private ownership n privacy laws in China! Paper law means what if means, nothing!!!!

  6. Hope he gets things right about China messed things up in Oz best he stays overseas guess he is still wasting taxpayers $ swanning around to be important

  7. This idiot is a Chinese stooge… he NEVER once mentioned the atrocities the Chinese are committing! And every single solitary deal CCP China agreed to has been worthless, the commitment to leave Hong Kong alone for 50 years was ripped up, rampant live organ harvesting, concentration camps, the slaughter of every last human rights lawyer and journalist, theft of intellectual property to the value of trillions of dollars, this guy is the stupidest of the stupid, or most likely a Chinese agent…

  8. Is Kevin Rudd a former Chinese leader? He seems knew a lot how to deal with China but what did he do when he was Australia prime minister? He did selling out whole Australia to China!

  9. People, like Kevin Rudd's blind spot to the CCP, are he doesn't realize that the uncivilized bandit characteristic of the frenzied oppressive and stifled communist original mindset of "the liberation of all mankind" postures and manners that coupled and compounded with the patriarchal values of its dynasty past.

Given the construction of the "China Social Credit Rating System" that demoralizes and denigrates the existence values of humanity into mere animal survival instincts. And its treachery attempts on the Sino-British joint declaration in 1984. In the 21st-century, people, like Kevin Rudd should be able to differentiate the contrary differences between the CCP and the Chinese traditional values (of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism人無信則不立﹔同和者謂之仁﹔相容者謂之義) and, have an overall-perspective on the CCP, including that it would not come to any negotiation table at the last minute unnecessarily.

  10. US must free Julian Assange if they think the HK rioters' criminal acts are normal! Trump should invite them to the US to do the same to US cities!

  11. Rudd, you are a Chinese stooge. How much are they paying you? And also, all your Labor stooge mates in Australia. You cleverly brushed over the South China Sea issue as if it meant nothing. Also Taiwan and Hong Kong. And worst of all, the issue of Xinjiang and the concentration camps. You continually mentioned your mates in China. I think you should get out of the West and go live with your Chinese mates. I’m sure they would continue their largesse.
I so happy you are out of Australia, please don’t come back. You fucked up this Country twice before, never again. I feel sorry for the Yanks though. I think China is your best option. Goodbye Kevin.

  12. this guy is an ass hole and he is blinded of what the Chinese want to do around the world and i'm glad he's not a prime minister maybe he'll believe it when the Chinese take our Australia.

  13. Wow this channel is also censoring comments. How do I know? Use another PC and internet IP to check the comment so Google algo can't manipulate the user lol

  14. Rudd is a crook, the chinese are bribing MP's in the pacific nations to tow the communist party lines and taking their lands in perpetuity whilst taking control of islands deemed illegal by the UN and cutting off australia and new zealand in a long term strategy from the US,im sure rudds been bribed himself just by listening to his retoric in this video.

  15. In the 70s, Nixon and Kissinger called for an opened China and encouraged US corporations to do business in China. Fast forward to 2019, Trump is now calling for a withdraw of US corporations from China and pursuing a trade war. What a hypocritical capitalistic system! Once the game is no longer in your favor, you advocating for shut down and quit. That goes to show how US policies, its leader, its government, and its capitalist machine along with its corporate greed have failed miserably after a 40-year venture into a communist government system who is willing to play the capitalist's game.

  16. He's a good ( WHITE CHINA MAN ) WE should appoint him
As the AMBASSADOR TO Australia for China ?
And to teach the Aussie government how to treat China
    Differently.

  17. He is wrong. China has activly trying to weaken the US economy for 20 years.
I`m really not impressed, although he tries hard to be a "knower"

  18. US can concentrate on China 24/7. Meanwhile, the rest of the world must take this once in a lifetime chance to quicken their economic development pace and get out of the US dependency as US has little time to interfere in their affairs.

  19. The last time people were rounded up in concentration camps America sacrificed over 400,000 servicemen on the alter of freedom. Not for pride not for greed but for humanity.

  20. Rudd's appearance(s) in public forums on U.S. soil is disguised lobbying effort(s) for the CCP. He should make a disclosure before starting his talk whether or not he is a registered foreigi agent. Over the course of his talk, I perceive a sense of subtle undermining of political undertones to discredit american policies towards China. His reference to limiting educational exchanges is to undermine national security considerations by the U.S. On the Q & A, I suspect Rudd has one or more players in the audience to play up their CCP card to an unsuspecting audience. Listen.

  21. Decoupling is the natural direction for the United States, going forward. Let’s not play that down. Yes, there have been tons of “loose talk” about this, riddled with rhetoric and sweeping statements. Rudd’s “be careful what you wish for” and “self-fulfilling prophecy” warnings miss the point in that the campaign is actually about convincing big international businesses to leave Chinese shores. There’s nothing vague in that; nothing in this is “loose language.” Trump’s maneuverings are geared exactly toward operationalizing that idea. The decades of relationship between the U.S. and China have been fraught with unchecked Chinese violations of IP rights, from counterfeiting, piracy, cyber intrusions, forced tech transfer, and overall economic espionage.

The bottom line is NOT to perpetuate years of faulty trade agreements, but to come up with clearcut ways to address more pressing issues related to Chinese companies’ rampant IP theft. I think Rudd just spent over an hour yapping, using a roundabout argument (his bias is showing) that does not really discuss the key issues that keep this 18-month-long trade war engine going. If anything, he naively plays up China’s alleged developments and the changes in its industrial policy. One reality is that China’s so-called innovations in tech, particularly 5G, are being used by the Chinese gov’t to spy on other nations. It’s due to this that the U.S. banned Huawei.

All in all, we cannot reduce this “war” to trade per se but elevate it to the level of national security. The U.S. seeks to dismantle decades of unmitigated stealing of tech and innovations, patents and trade secrets, etc. We cannot look at China’s economic rise as a result of self-sufficiency but as a Machiavellian move, aimed at meeting the country’s ironic “Made in China 2025” targets whatever the costs. Truces should be looked at with suspicion, as the future of the global economic chain hangs in the balance. Let’s not be naïve; decoupling from China IS a must.

  22. His solution for Xinjiang, Hong Kong, Tibet and Taiwan is for the West to continue buying and investing in China? While yes this won't lead to an economic crisis this will lead to a humanitarian crisis. So the choices are to choose between greed or human life?
