1. you're not providing an accurate review of the server location and latency. The server name is to indicate where they are located and that reflects how much speed/latency you will have and mostly the speed of down and upload. in this case, IPvanish would have provided the best results in regards to speed in down, upload, and latency, since it was in California and your location in Florida (coast to coast traffic). You can't tell people to disregard the server which is important since the closer the server to your location the highest speed and minimal latency you'll get..

2. This test is pretty useless considering the rest of us are on gigabit speeds. We can’t assume your lower speed internet with the use of the VPN will be representative of our gigabit internet connections using the same VPN.

3. you know if you pay with credit card they get your info and all your info.

4. Let’s say we are from EU. If we use a vpn and choose to use an American server, will that improve our ping when let’s say playing a game whose server is in that area?

9. Hey TRIPLE M. Two things.
   1) To make an honest comparison and “review”, don’t you think PROTOCOL would be the main factor when it comes to VPN? What’s your speed with NordVPN/IPVanish enabled and OpenVPN UPP or TCP, AES-256-CBC, HMAC-SHA256, RSA-4096? When you present a speed tests with pretty much no security (encryption) your “anonymous subscribers”WILL get caught streaming. You’d know better and be honest with your subscribers.
   2) You’re clearly affiliated with both NordVPN and IPVanish. That’s ok as long as you’re honest about that. Since it’s VPNs you’re reviewing, it might be a good idea to compare the Privacy Policy, Transparency Reports and perhaps DMCA Policy as well, would you not agree?

12. Sure, go for IPVanish if you don’t care about your personal information. Best speed on the market but would you trade a few Mbps for your personal info?

    If you do, you should be aware of that IPVanish actually keep and stores (probably even share, sell, trade etc) YOUR PERSONAL DATA/INFORMATION.

    Even after IPVanish confirmed that they had deleted — as I requested — anything that allowed me to be directly or indirectly identified, like name, birthdate, physical and IP address , payment details and so on. (The request also included automated personal data and encompass pseudonymised data if I as a person could be identified from it), you’d think that they’d follow GDOR.

    So, do you think that IPVanish honored that request? No. They still keep tabs and only god knows what else and for how long.

    FYI IPVanish and StrongVPN are pretty much the same company.

15. Since you went to the trouble of setting up a nice spreadsheet, it would be nice to take it to the next level; run 5 (10?) sample on all sets, so that the averages take on meaning. Also, someone here mentioned, get some data with 'security' turned on?

16. Nord is the best I have found hands down. Tried alot of different vpns including ipvanish before coming to that conclusion. Do your research before buying any vpn service. And never use a free vpn service. Common sense goes a long way!

17. I love IPVanish because it's so easy to use….but I have encountered problems. After a few months something happens where I keep getting an error message when I try opening the program. something about "verifying my credentials". I know my password !!!! not making mistakes. IPVanish just stops working. After numerous emails to their tech support you get no help at all. You give them every piece of info they could possibly need and all they do is ask you more questions. Its back and forth and nothing but frustration. There is never a solution.This has happened to me twice. I've had to set my computer back to factory condition for the privilege of using IPVanish again. ( using System Restore to an earlier time DOES NOT WORK) I'm not going to those extremes anymore !!!!! I just won't be renewing. They need to figure out what is causing this so they can help customers. I'm sure I'm not the only having this problem. ugh.

20. Both IPVanish and NordVPN are capable of even faster download speeds, it all depends on your original Internet connection. I managed to get speeds recently of more than 200 Mbps using both providers… But, when it comes to unblocking Netflix, NordVPN is easier and better to use!

21. Liked the video. Please consider options like port forwarding in your evaluations. Please look at which one allows porting options for external network access to server/client programs like PLEX and NextPVR. Thanks!

25. I am a bit confused. The second Nord VPN shows 15.67 Mbps download, but in the speed summary page it shows 61.99 Mbps.

26. I have IPVanish at first np with Hulu or Netflix but as of now I have to disconnect anytime I use those apps. And it has slow down my fire stick tremendously.. I am watching many tutorials.. it’s crazy

28. These speeds are with no security on, so you will not see no loss of speed, once you put the protection on, you will lose half your speed or more.

41. I would recommend you try this on some Android devices. The results are MUCH worse for Nord. I did tests and found Nord completely unusable for streaming. It was a couple months ago, so maybe they stepped their game up.
