I’m Chinese. I disagree with their stubbornness. The United Kingdom handed back Hong Kong to (China) after 99 years of the lease became due. If this group of people want to separate themselves from China (like 200 plus years ago, some Britain wanted to separate themselves from the United Kingdom), they SHOULD go and find a NEW place for themselves. They should have the gut to be pioneers and explore a new territory in order to declare to be independent! But they didn’t do that! ?It’s like the grown up children have been living in the basement of their parents’ house all their life and suddenly they want to declare the basement to be their own property.
