  1. Prepared your country build your own strong army to defend your country because the history of ww2 is once again repeated during the 2nd world war when japan invade china america imposed a ban of all oil supply and steal on japan And it results to great economic slow down in japan economy at that time and there is no escape goat except war that is the reason why japan invade all of asian countries

  2. This is lesson China should reduce trade with US and start trading in gold standard. ANYTHING can happen if you are controlled by a SINGULAR currency.

  3. What's really worrying is that China's government linked companies including oil and gas, and big energy companies have been failing to pay overseas suppliers and subcontractors. That's really bad for businesses. They even starting to issue IOUs which is meaningless.

  4. 1.449 trillion dollars of growth in GDP from 2017 to 2018 =6.8% increase
0.991 trillion dollars of growth in GDP from 2009 to 2010=10.6% increase
    Math

  5. If the Chinese economy is still growing at 6% why are Chinese nationals risking their lives to get to countries like the UK. Fake figures, fake people and a fake economy.

  6. The priblem is china is still developing country but they are already comming down. And also they have a huge problem of aging lol.
Some if the people are saying that other countries growth are much lower but u should know that when you are developing country it is easy to grow fast. China's gdp per capita isjust about 10000. And usa's gdp per capita is about 60000.
When korea' gdp per capita were same as china their growth were 10% which means china is having serious problem right now considering that they are still developing country

  7. People are saying Chinese growth is still strong even at it's lowest yet no one actually knows about how their local governments keep faking their numbers to get better rewards while this will keep damaging China's economy in the future. Plus developing countries growth is espected to be higher than developed countries. I have to admit people nowadays are so easy to believe in stuffs with only one perspective.

  8. That's exactly why China is so nervous about Hong Kong. They know their internal stability depends on keeping the growth rate steady and the Chinese Dream alive.

For those who say 6% is a lot, keep in mind that China is still in its 20s while the West is in its 70s. There is still a margin of growth for sure, but a 20 years old will never grow up as fast as when he was a 10 years old.

  9. Don't scroll down! The comments are littered with economic illiteracy. Developing countries grow differently compared to developed countries.

  10. 淘汰低端产能的必然结果,但换来了环境的改善和经济的可持续发展。未来电动车,飞机,物联网设备等都是增长点。

  11. Fighting against trade wars and still manage to have growth. So logical to be lowest, but it is still GROWTH . Go CN !!

  12. China’s economy weakening is nothing unusual. As an economy grows, it gets harder to maintain growth. Being the second largest economy in the world and still maintaining 6% is pretty impressive

  13. “Plunges to 6%”? What a gross distortion!

Everything is relative. To objectively comprehend or to make sense of things, we have to compare one thing to another.

China is inarguably the world’s largest economy, and rightfully so, as measured in purchasing power parity. China’s economy is estimated to grow at an annualised 6.1% to $27.3 trillion by the year ending 2019; or almost 1.3 times that of America’s at $21.4 trillion.

To put that in perspective, 6.1% growth is a whopping $1.57 trillion. In other words, in just a year, what China adds to its economy is larger than the entire economy of Australia at $1.38 trillion!
