Because group of men told her everday, without a man her life would be mess, and women have so so shortages, so on. How can we expect all HongKongers and Taiwanees against the colonialism. Some of them are still miss the colonial life. Especially the UK and the US still tell them so by purposes.

  13. CSIS is helping to trot out excuses for Tsai's eventual election defeat, so these excuses can be used later to question the legitimacy of a KMT victory.
    Frankly, China doesn't and has never hide its action to interfere in Taiwan's election for it sees as an internal matter. Remember the lobbing of missiles into the Taiwan Straits. Of couse, ever since the dotard's victory with Russia help," election interference" has become a taboo so CSIS very cleverly put it out there so it can be used in case Tsai loses.

  18. I lived in Taiwan for 2 years and love the people and the country. When I first arrived was previous to the election where the Kuomintang was unseated for the first time by the DPP. The Chinese were threatening missile attacks and land invasion then.

  20. If the events in Hong Kong show anything, it's that the rights and freedoms of all Taiwanese would be written away under China's authority. Taiwanese aren't stupid.

  22. Han kuo-yu would bring Taiwan out of its current pernicious path of self-destruction led by the DPP. His sudden appearance in the political spotlight only shows the power of grassroots participation in the ROC, and whether or not the CCP's interfered with Taiwanese media/social networks (which they obvious have) should be dealt with and managed without political bias from Taiwan or the US.

    Han's campaign and rallying cry shows the strength and insistence that the ROC has to maintain and persist in spite of the growing specter of Communist China.
