  1. @ 3.43 the police fire the rioter because of muscle reaction , even the police fire his gun is correct, the rioter hit him first.
@ 5.27 the show of military power , no wrong. USA do the same during the anniversary
@ 6.26 to unit the Chinese as one is absolutely right. US or British don't want to unit ?
@ 6.39 don't say they are pro-democracy , they are rioters , they are destroying Hong Kong , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e42RUcHqDXo&t=2s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk4P1oeItOA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XdyiUXqFQA there are more and more can be find in different media
@ 7.17 of course the police has gears and equipment , otherwise how can they stop the riot , but the rioters also has gears and equipment supplied by unknown
@ 8.13 she is so naive , British only look at the benefit first, all others are second.
@ 9.0 the rioters, must be sentence to jail according to Hong Kong law
@ 9.38 think clearly, every government is working for their own country. British government put their country first. Why British has to against China to help a small Hong Kong , was a colony only. Also at least 5 millions of Hong Kong not like these rioters

  2. its the press like this kind turned countries like Lib*a, S*ria and Ir*q into shambles. you guys should rot in hxll. if you guys think you can turn hk like those states, good luck with your effort.

  3. Boring…..same old chants, vandalism, and Molotov cocktails. Keep on regurgitating old propaganda. The radical movement is going nowhere. Other than violence for sake of violence, the movement has lost its purpose and direction. They have no idea what is the intended endgame.

Demand for amnesty after having and continuing to commit unlawful and fascist acts is against the rule of law. Neither can a bank robber, arsonist, or murderer demand that their crimes be pardoned and not be labelled as a criminal by simply threatening more unlawful acts. That would be anarchy or law of the jungle.

  4. And a whole bunch of democraZy knuckleheads…..

    ……
The current crisis in Hong Kong is taking a page directly out of the Red Guard Cultural Revolution play book. From what’s happening over the last few months, more and more of these freedoms and rights of the society have been tampered by the so-called “pro-democracy” protestors. Their actions are so contrary to the democratic movement that at times, appeared more Nazi-like 'bunker mentality' against the Jews or that of the Red Guard. They attempt to impose their ways onto others by intimidating ordinary citizens from voicing out opposing views, even to the point of tyrannizing and physically assaulting them into submission. They are carrying out vigilante action on individuals, arson attacks on public facilities, targeting non-conforming businesses simply because of affiliation, segregating the masses, vandalizing public and private properties, enforcing propaganda blitz and controlling media coverage by restricting individuals from recording their actions. It is difficult
to differentiate between peaceful protestors and rioters from all the mob lynching, arson, vandalism, and the latest, looting. Protestors are running amok, their cause hijacked by sponsored rioters who are either delusional or with hidden agenda. Brainwashed by propaganda that unlawful violent acts are acceptable as long as they are the ones dealing out the violence and not being the victims themselves – what took Cultural Revolution many decades to accomplish was achieved by online mass media in a matter of months (or years). Without LIHKG forum and other online platforms, the propaganda would not have spread so fast and to so many youngsters. Hence, don't underestimate the contribution of online media. No wonder there is need for fake news law.

In the current crisis, there is yet to have any death in over four months of rioting. Using this line of argument, the Hong Kong authority is apparently better than the British percentage-wise in dealing with the riots. Unfortunately, it is not the case.

Hong Kong is a free city in every sense of the word regardless of political system. Hong Kong already enjoys plenty of freedoms and rights well before this crisis – freedom of speech, thought, expression, association, assembly, religion, travel, right to life, own things, education, protection under the law, trial, social securities, etc. There are not many places in the world that can provide all these at low tax burden to middle class, which is why Hong Kong is always ranked amongst the top cities. The authority here has such accommodative policy towards organized street marches (as long as they are non-violent) that it seems like there are peaceful demonstrations almost every other weekend.

These protestors at one of the malls were calling for the abolishment of the current government, its Rule of Law and setting up its own government. Sounds pretty independent. Even in US, individual states cannot secede from the union. Some folks had tried. It is called treason and cause of civil war.

Hong Kong Rule of Law is one of its cornerstones. The current legal framework is based on English common law, which has served Hong Kong well both and after 1997. The judiciary can independently challenge the executive or legislative action. It still ranks amongst the highest in the world, even above that of good ol’ USA. If so, the society should respect and therefore, adhere to the Rule of Law. Dispute should be argued in the courts and not on the streets.

Otherwise, it is pure anarchy or Law of the Jungle which is what the protestors or rioters appeared to be advocating by their actions. The end does not justify the means. If it does, both sides can sing to the same tune. Rioters who carry out violent acts (and their supporters) should not be whining when the authority responds in kind.

  5. let's assume, what would an "american police officer" do when a person holding a bat walking up to him? He will reach to the GUN!

  7. You are lucky you are in HK if you are in any western world especially America!!!!!! Attacking police with a weapon they will have the right to shoot you straight away and it doesn’t matter if you die from it. So please consider yourself behaviour before speaking out ! Plus this new is fake anyway this girl is definitely not from HK as her accent plus HK people can’t speak as fluent English as her,

  8. Hong Kongers are pathetic! If they think they are going to get freedom this way, they can sleep and dream about it for a million years. You are from Hong Kong, therefore you are a province of China, UK exited and left in 1997. Therefore because you are a part of China, whether you like it or not, you have to respect and obey the Rule of Law there. Imagine, how chaotic it would be, if you start doing this elsewhere in the World. In some countries they would just shoot everyone. China is being very patient and kind. If you don't like Hong Kong, and disagree and hate Beijing so much, then go to Taiwan or elsewhere. In my opinion, the Garrison in Shenzhen should directly come in to control the situation. Come in, arrest the mutiny and rebels and wipe it out for good. Once and for all, before it spreads to the rest of China.!!!!!

  9. Jeez, Bonnie Leung is a DELUSIONAL idiot. Imagine having coffee and building a bond with a fellow co-worker just to watch them get beaten by solid steel poles from multiple people than to call the police officers actions unjustified? And unreasonable? You're mocking your own cause, Bonnie! Also, the guy who got shot in the chest swung at his arm holding the gun, What happens if he knocks out the gun out of his hands? Then the protestor getting a hold of his gun. Couple officers getting shot? But it's ok since you're fighting for your democracy right? I don't condone shooting people but in this situation from the police officer perspective, it's 100% justified!

Hong Kong has been peaceful and orderly before these thugs showed up. It would help to return Hong Kong back to normality if these rioters as well as the authority could de-escalate their actions. It would also help if the media is less biased in their coverage. They should be covering the news and not making it.

  11. 6:39
There is no way the police would have known the age of the person being shot as the rioter was masked and in full protective gear. The current "no-mask" law might lessen the likelihood of shooting underage rioters. The police would probably think twice before taking such an extreme measure when confronted by underage rioters who are not masked.

  12. “Unfair for the police to carry and use their guns when their lives are threaten. What stupid comment was that?! Are you saying the police deserve to be hit, harmed and killed by the hammers, wrenches and iron rods that these protestors carry? Are you saying that these weapons the protestors carry are not as lethal as guns?
