1. I've been accused of being really biased. So here's the other side of the story and how protesters justify beating a guy this bad:
   Yuen Long 0721 – Thugs and triads came in to a local subway station and beat the shit out of everyone in sight. Journalists, civilians, protesters. Some people suffered life-long injuries when they were slashed with knives etc. The protesters are therefore angry and want to fight fire with fire.

   My response: If someone's threatening your life and beating you, by all means use as much force as possible to stop them. Even if that means killing them. But to randomly attack some guy who was walking through a mall and has a different opinion? That's going way too far. Even if you suspect he's a gang member, you cannot maim him like that. This is way beyond immoral.

2. Toby, you are of course only telling one side of the Hong Kong situation.
   Did you see any videos showing violence of the Hong Kong police? Do you know that nowadays, after an arrest, the HK police now does not allow the arrested to contact families, friends, and lawyers? Do you know that after an arrest, the police can do anything (beating, rape) inside a police station? Come on ! Don't say that these are all lies !

   The HK police are the most restrained in the world? This is a real joke !

4. Some Hong Kong people, I mean a lot of them now, are really the worst humans in today's world. Spoiled souls ignoring facts. Harboring extremism and abandoning basic civilization principles. They're there likes of Taliban, klu klus Klan, or Isis fighters

5. if this was happening in london, paris or new york, those rioters would be beaten bloody and dowsed in chemical weapons by police, then kettled in with battons, rubber bullets and tear gas (chemical weapon) and then some 10 to 20 % would be violently arrested for breach of the peace and assaulting police, making an example for the media to show the rest of the citizens and the rest of the protesting rioters will recieve charges and fines in the mail after a few weeks when the video evidence is gathered and evaluated.

   i am amazed the hong kong cops are letting these protesting rioters going on and on. in the west they would have been cleared out by now. just look how the police treats the yellow vests in france. they get the shit kicked and beaten out of them. hong kong protests are no longer protests, they are classic riots, even close to civil war. except that once again it's a very loud group claiming to speak for the majority. once again it's backed by the US, can you say color revolution?

   According to American and US dictionary:
   
   Terrorist – a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
   
   Meaning that what they are doing right now is not rioting anymore, it's terrorism.
   
   Terrorism doesn't have to involve guns and bombs to be counted as terrorism.

How helpless am I watching this video while I want to kick the shit out of those so called peaceful protestors who kicked the guy by only expressing his desagreement, beating him almost unconscious… Cowards pigs… I am from a place where the media takes part for HK policy and always disgrace china's … You do not need to understand that you cannot always fool everyone … Thank you Toby to share your thoughts and experience here. 12. You have no idea what's going on in HK. Mainlanders and pro-government supporters have been beating the crap out of HK'ers and stabbing HK'ers for putting up Lennon Walls. This was the height of when that happened. You cannot rip up a pro-democracy Wall in front of a big crowd during that time or they will get pay back for what happened to those who were stabbed.

    If you genuinely wanted to just 'present normal Hongkongers' side of the story', you could have interviewed some of them – nobody would fault you that way.

    By painting the Police as all-good, and the protesters as all-bad, what response did you expect to get?

    And stop saying you are "independent" lah, you're saying the thousands of reporters in HK now are not independent – and don't report your so-called 'other side'. If so, why? You trust the HK Police/China's CCP, more CNN? That must be some kind of joke there. Stop calling yourself 'journalist'. Your other videos are just tourism vlogs – and we all know how such vlogs are a far cry from reality.
