  4. I used this on ipVanish which was great but I have stopped using them and now I have switched over to Surfshark which strangely does not appear on the list of VPN providers in your VPN MANAGER.
    Will you be updating the VPN list in the near future ?

  5. Can't seem to get NordVPN working. I get the error message 'unable to retrieve vpn profile from vpn provider' right after I choose the country. Can you help? The only way it works is with manual using .ovpn files.

  9. nice vid, any idea if i use setup my kodi on my windows PC this way , does this vpn setting will also reflect on my windows browser , and if its does how can i setup kodi on windows with vpn without using the vpn on my browser. please and thank you in advance

Your tutorial was very helpful, however for some reason the "Install from zip file" did not work, so I just get the "zip" from the http://troypint.com/repo/ and copy to a usb device and then connected to my Raspberry Pi. At this point I followed the rest of your tutorial and worked just fine.

  18. I followed your video and thought everything was going ok. I have IPVannish. When I tried to connect I got this error message. I am missing the TUN/TAP dev files. Not sure what to do now. thanks

  21. I'm trying to install OpenVPN onto LibreELEC using a Pi 3 B+. I use VPN unlimited. I select them, enter my ID and password. When I go to set the 1 channel it installs almost completely then errors. I'm repeatedly seeing:
    Options Erro: option 'reneg=sec' cannot be used in this context ([PUSH-OPTIONS])
    Cannot open TUN/TAP dev/dev/net/tun: No such file or directory (errno=2)
    Exiting due to fatal error

    Any idea how this is resolved? I have the ovpn, keys, crt files I know on the PI. Even tried a manual setup with basically the same errors.

  24. I got this far already and I wish I found this video sooner it's spot on. My issue is when I go to select my 1st location it may or may not work. Even if it connects it will not let me choose a 2nd, 3rd… ect.. I was fooling around at work on my RPi3 which is connected via my phone hotspot and I was able to set up openvpn and ipvanish perfectly. Went home to set up the two RPi's I have there and it's a no go. I get an error won't connect to server. After some fooling around I was able to get a 1st pick to connect but not any other picks. Even with the first server connected my addons don't work so I ended up just disabling openvpn. That leads me to this moment. Any advice? Does this have to do with my home isp cause it works going thru my phone hotspot.

  27. I just followed this tutorial. Worked just fine. I did have to pause at some points. Such as the zip. mine took about 3 minutes to install. The tutorial showed it a lot quicker. Just be patient.

  28. Thanks Troy, this is the EASIEST way to install VPN manager on kodi, all without having to download a zip file to a USB from a computer and transferring it to your Raspberry pi blah blah blah. works 12/25/17, your way is very simple thank you very much.
