  1. Okay I think I understand but is proton VPN Related to proton mail because I recently acquired an email address through proton. They claim to be very safe and private as well. Possibly they offered the VPN but I’m only just getting into all of this and was not quite sure what it was.
Prices for paying VPN seem to be quite high and it’s okay if you’re quite well off. What bothers me a bit is that I pay a good deal for Internet every month and wonder why they don’t provide that kind of privacy and security. It all seems to be a predatory capitalistic game To extort more money and exploit as many people as possible.
Sadly I’m not like the masses who don’t question anything and just hand over their hard earned money without question or confrontation. I suppose I’m a bit of an anarchist.
There is an old expression that says “you get what you pay for” however in modern times that is not always the case alas!
You mentioned the risks with some free VPN providers but I wonder what’s to prevent The VPN providers that you pay from doing those same nasty things. It is a hidden world and we have little to no control over what these people do. We are supposed to trust them in a world where trusts almost no longer exists.

  2. i don't like free stuff, software or apps. especially, when we are talking about security. i disagree with you guys, paid vpns (not all) do keep you safe. there are three main points – location of provider, encryption level and the price. paid providers get money for their service, and since vpn world is a tough world, they do their best do keep things that way.
1 Tracking and selling your data

    2 Injecting malware

    3 Bandwidth theft

    4 Traffic leaks

    5 Pushing advertisements
common safety issues, and paid ones protect you from that
